Official Cornell Class of 2019 Regular Decision Applicants!!!!!

Likely letter means you’re getting in 99.999% of the time.

@cchanged @sugoi15 Waitlisted by WUSTL x3
WUSTL waitlisted everybody in my school …

Which college did you guys apply to for WUSTL? just wondering…

@Shadoww‌ same, engineering.

Any non engineering applicants get likely letters?

@Shadoww‌ same, applied to engineering for all schools except one.

Were these likely letters just for kids applying to the engineering college? Did anyone applying to CALS receive one,

The following link might help regarding likely letters…

I have the same question as @jamesjunkers‌ - have CAS applicants received likely letters?

Did any international student receive one?

@laurabae‌ I am an international, but i go to school in America.

Those who got likelies, did it say March 31 for decisions?

@laurabae‌ I am international too.

@jamesjunkers It says “until end of the month” only. I would assume Cornell releases on Ivy Day, which is 3/31 this year.

Can those given likely letters post some of their stats if it wouldn’t be too much trouble? And has anyone from CALs been given one?

Female in engineering and got a likely!!! I’m in awe and shock right now. I basically have no engineering-related extracurriculars minus one 5-week research thing so this was an enormous but very pleasant surprise.

Stats here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18134365/#Comment_18134365

TL;DR SAT 2350, 4.0 UW/4.71 W, 1/189 in class, 5’s on 8 AP tests, a bunch of violin stuff for ECs.

@jamesjunkers It didn’t say a decision date on the likely.

I’m from CALS. Haven’t gotten one either. Congrats to those who have! @vetmed2822‌ Maybe CALS doesn’t give out LL’s?

@TheDidactic the only likely letters I have seen are from engineering. Don’t know CALs protocol on LLs, one of my friend’s classmates got an LL waiting to hear back regarding her college choice at Cornell

Any male likely letter receivers? Seems like only females are getting them… I wonder if all female engineers get them though.

Female engineer and also got a likely letter! Honestly was not expecting it at all, and definitely do not deserve it. Mediocre ECs, average stats, no engineering experience (all medical related), and go to an all-girls Catholic school that barely sends people to Ivys (maybe one every ten years). I also got wait listed at WUSTL on Monday, so I thought all hope was lost for all schools I applied to.

Stats: 2200 (single sitting), 2260 (superstore) SAT, 4.0 UW/4.55 W, 1/100 class rank; 7 APs total (2, 4, 5 score), sucky SAT II (740 Math II, 690 Chem, 640 US History); 2 medical internships, couple ECs, but none that are consistent; no hooks whatsoever (Asian, not first gen, middle class, NOTHING GOOD); also, wrote my supplement one hour before it was due, so it was full of BS and probably not good

^As you can see, stats are super average and nothing to be proud of. So, never give up hope!!!
