Official Cornell Class of 2019 Regular Decision Applicants!!!!!

@dhizzy‌ Me lol

Just wondering, does Cornell financial aid download FAFSA? And does anyone still have Cornell’s missing date on the IDOC??

the date never showed up for Cornell @IDOC

Rejected at Stanfird not surprised but rejected at Duke also. Surprised there because others that did not need financial aid or were URMs were accepted with lesser stats. Not holding out too much hope for Cornell but not giving up yet. I have some good options but really hoped for more success with the Ivys. will be happy when this is over.

Imagine if ivys sent out unlikely letters too in order to tell people they have no chance. I’d get one of those. Lol

@justinn76‌ I think those letters would be sent to people who have 1.0 GPAs and 1000 SAT scores or something. So I wouldn’t worry too much about 3/31. Those letters would be pretty disastrous and evil lol

@justinn76 I saw some of your threads back in order posts and realized that we are in the same situation! I also got rejected from UPenn ED and I know how it feels to have been rejected (last week was horrible for me- I got rejected from 3 colleges) but I wanted to give you hope for next week. Don’t forget that colleges value personality as well as test scores and don’t let this let cloud your mind with negative thoughts

My finals got over like 10 days ago and the wait is definitely killing me because I have absolutely nothing to do!!
Set to get 3 results on the 31st… Hope I get into at least one ivy (though I would probably not end up going to columbia)!!

hell I just got rejected by 5 colleges in the last 2 days if this can make anyone feel better. Cornell is my last chance. I really wish I could get in… I’m willing to trade a year of my life for this… Please!!! Fingers crossed

@dhizzy‌ Cheers dude! Hope for the best

Can not imagine trying to get into one of these top tier schools in another few years without being able to pay the full way or having some amazing hook. I have seen so many with what appear to be perfect everything be denied. You know they had to write amazing essays. it costs so much just to apply to all these schools and then to have to wait months only to be rejected. I have learned so much and would change a lot if I had to do it again. Which I probably will in graduate school.

My daughter got a likely from cornell. She was also accepted into nyu stern’s business political economy program. They have a 5 percent acceptance rate. Its an incredible program. You study in london and either shanghai or washington . She is torn because she loves Cornell. Do you think its better to graduate from the nyu program or cornell?

Just reread my Cornell supplement and found that I wrote “blank” instead of “black”. So that’s nice adding unnecessary stress to my life

In what types of cases do you believe Cornell employs the Primary/Alternate admission option? Is it common?

They orobably picked it up correctly off the common app so don’t stress. If they were confused they would have contacted you.

See even my p turned into an o so it happens all the time. I addressed my mid year update to Georgetown and then happily emailed it off. Called them right away. They said happens all the time and not to worry

Lol. It was supposed to go to Harvard

I got rejected by Colgate and NYU. Hopefully I can get in Columbia or Cornell’s hep program. I’m so nervous.

@lisaol if she is going into business, Stern is MUCH better than Cornell. Also, Stern’s program allows her to study abroad and gain experiences that would really help her when she is applying for graduate school

@0br0123, for what reasons is Stern ** much better ** than Dyson?

@jamesjunkers the flexible opportunities to study abroad. And that is just one among a myriad of reasons. Stern is in the heart of the biggest American city right next to Wall Street. the job outlook for Sternies matches that of UPenn.
