***Official Dec 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@Castigations‌ no it should be “in which”. either way the answer “which” was correct answer

The petroleum was A…no change

@Castigations Haha, the man, the myth, the legend, good ol’ Walt

for assimilation vs traditionalism…I think it’s definitely assimilation

traditionalism would imply they stuck to traditional foods…they didn’t. They combined new foods with old methods of preparation(adding spices). So they assimilated. Traditionalism implies they resisted change, which they didn’t. Trying new foods is embracing change, but they brought what they had learned from preparing traditional foods to make the new foods more palatable.

wait so the alice question was setting?
im still pretty sure it was attitude…

Ok on my calculator I typed 30+40+50+60 then divided that by 4, got 45…then typed 10+20+30, divided that by 3 and got 20. I subtracted 20 from 45 and got 25. Anyone remember this problem? I’m guessing it could be the one with the scatter plot that asked difference between mean scores of people who studied 5 hours vs people who studied 1 hour but these calculations were sandwiched between my math grid in calculations but it doesn’t look like any lists of grid in answers included 25 in them.

Also for the token one, is it OK if I put in 7/4 instead of 1.75. I’m not sure if tokens were counted in dollars or not.

guys in the writing section how many no errors did you get?

yes 25 and 7/4 are both right

lol am i the only one who put sentimentality for the one asking about assimilation/traditionalism? when i was reading the line citation and the answers i felt it couldnt be assimilation because it wasnt comforming oneself to a new culture but rather still holding onto one’s own culture…but i didn’t think it was traditionalism because the people were actually trying to mix the new cultural palette with their own’s

wait i thought that the alice question was attitude…
and can someone remind me what the jaws 2, tone, unenthusiastic question was? (from the film passage)

assimilation isn’t conforming…it’s blending in or combining two culters.

Sentimentalism is kind of sadness or nostalgia…it kind of has a negative connotation and what the people did was out of practicality, not because of sadness for their cultural food

@i2400ezpz It was the omnivore passage…I don’t really remember the questions but I’m pretty sure of those answers.
Looks like most people are saying “which” was the error now, which is what I said so hopefully that’s true!

It’s assimilation I’m pretty sure. That’s what made sense with the mixing of cultures and everything.

@magic125 that’s a debated question…you could argue that attitude makes more sense, but you could also argue that attitude is extrapolating too much from the sentence. I put attitude.

sigh NOOOOO. okay. Well for the green chemistry i put down less efficient…could someone explain to me why this would be wrong?

and does anybody remember the Q and A for the last question about the double passage about the hollywood films? I remember putting an answer last minute but not remembering which one.

wait guys for the one with fundamentally wrongheaded. that could also be reasonable because the passage did say that its not like business owners didnt try. fundamentally wrongheaded is too extreme.

i put logically reasonable

also the one with the what field means, i think it could also mean background, like the space background.

i wrote space for the field definition…none of the other ones made sense…

The exhibit displayed a plant, that growing up to two feet tall, is the largest plant in the blah blah blah
Was this A- as is?
And does anyone remember an answer like critical acclaim

@lolokcollege It was discipline
