I’m new on this thread but I applied ED to Columbia College this fall as well. I just got an email from the Financial Aid Officer about what documents they have and what they don’t. I guess the server is not running right now, but that email tells you everything you need to know.

Female, Massachusetts, hopeful MEALAC major and 99.9% Pre-Med.

Best of luck…the decision day is coming up ever so quickly.

hey

just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Ben from Minnesota. I don’t really have much direction but I might be looking to major in philosophy and then move onto education. I applied ED to CC. I attended the summer program, which I know isn’t supposed to help with admissions, but I wrote my essay about it so I’m hoping that might give me a boost.

this is quite random and probably deserving of “aww that’s so cute!” comments but from reading everyone’s posts, you guys all seem like such motivated and ambitious individuals, the kind of students at Columbia (which is what I wrote about for the short response!) I’m finding that I want to get into this wonderful school more and more everyday. And can I just say how absolutely awesome it is to see that there are applicants from all over the world! I want to study AND party with all of you!

can we write a letter collectively from the Class of 2014 to the admissions director about why they should accept every single one of us…

Okay, so they haven’t received my CSS Profile. On the College Board website, it says that I sent it on the 13th. They say that the school might say that they haven’t received it, but it is absolutely certain that the College Board sent it. It just hasn’t been processed yet.

I’m really scared that something happened, and College Board isn’t letting me send it again…

Uhhhhhhhhh It says i didn’t send in a Student Previous Year Federal Tax Return, but that is because i DON’T have one… what should i do? i e-mailed them.

to NWdivisionCHAMPS: i got that email too about not receiving the student federal tax returen. i juss emailed them and said it doesnt apply to me, so i dont think it’s anything to be concerned about

Hey everyone!

I’ve been reading this thread for a while now, so I figured it’s high time I joined in =)

As far as I know, I’m the only student applying ED to Columbia from my COUNTRY (at least that is what my interviewer had said =/).

Right now, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping and praying for the best, IA.

In the e-mail that I received from Columbia today, it said, in the end,
“if we are asking for a document that doesn’t pertain to you, please contact Financial Aid and Educational Financing directly at (212) 854-3711 or by email at <a href=“mailto:cc-seas-finaid@columbia.edu”>cc-seas-finaid@columbia.edu</a>.”
