hey everyone im sarah from minnesota! does anyone know what time the email for acceptance will be sent out? i plan on staying up all night pushing the refresh key :)

and can we add info. to our application? like if i just found out i had won a scholarship?

To anyone else whose Financial Aid email says they haven’t received your previous year Student Tax Return and who doesn’t have a tax return to report, what you need to do is call the financial aid office and they will tell you about the form to fill out- it’s called the Student Tax Non-Filer Certification Form, and fax it to them asap.

I spoke to a Columbia rep on the phone today. She said that if you know you have submitted your financial aid information but got an email saying you didn’t, you should wait until Thursday; that is when they will be finished with the processing. If it still doesn’t show up on the site after that, THEN give them a call. Otherwise, they’re just repeating the same thing for so many people.

To Celebration: Yes, no one should have those yet because FAFSA isn’t submitted until after Jan. 1st and the others are for this year’s tax forms which can’t be finished until the year is over anyway.

Could someone please tell me if I should freak out now, or wait till Thursday?

So you see, it was sent last month on the 11th, but Columbia hadn’t even recieved it on the 18th! Or does that only mean that it still wasn’t PROCESSED by the 18th so that counts as ‘not received’?

Hi everyone, just a question regarding financial aid application. For international students currently living in the US(F-1 Status, not working High School Student) but both parents are overseas, do they also have to submit the W-2 Forms, Fed Tax returns and that “Student Tax Non-Filer Certification Form”? Shouldn’t they be counted as international students overseas?

My Parent Foreign Tax Reurn is also missing!!! It says it’s required for disbursement, does that mean we don’t file it unless we get accepted? Does anyone else have this problem too?

If your parents have no income in the US and don’t live there either, then they shouldn’t file W-2 Forms or Fed Tax returns. I think the “Student Tax Non-Filer Certification Form” is for transfers.

Folks, is that really bad if my guidance counselor just received a message from Columbia to explain the drop off in my results in the first quarter report??? I got 75, 85 and 86 and then all the rest above 95 %, so I don’t think it is that dramatically bad… What does it mean??
