This is what Ugrad office sent back to me when I asked about the ED result date…

Columbia will send you an email in mid-December alerting you that your decision is available to read online. In the email will be a link and, from there, you will log into a secure site and check your decision.

It says they haven’t received either of the college transcripts that were supposed to be sent… I requested the transcripts be sent directly to Columbia, and I sent the requests in around mid-October. The colleges kept telling me to wait for them to process, but now it seems like it’s too late to do much about it, and I’m getting worried.

I didnt send my first quarter grades either. My guidance counselor told me if they needed them they would contact me, and they didnt. this has been worrying me because i dont know if i made it beyond the regional counselor, but a talk with a student from my school who applied ED 2 years ago made me less freaked out. He only had one teacher rec and his transcripts were sent very late but he still got in. I feel like having all of our stuff isnt as important as we think it is, they can still make a decision based on what they have.

I sent in my first quarter grades. The email I got from ugrad said that they should be sent ** IF available**. My first quarter ended in mid November, so it made sense to send them.

@ raychacha They didn’t receive my college transcript either as far as I can tell…I didn’t call and ask, but it never appeared on the tracking thing. Hopefully they just didn’t bother to update the tracker.

Probably not very. Just want to make sure you don’t have senioritis. Sometimes colleges say that first marking period grades could strengthen an app, but I doubt it does much.

That’s EXACTLY how i feel. from where i’m from, we haven’t even heard of any of these academic competitions, science bowl siemens whatevers. IMO, my best EC is my jack in the box job.

good to know it’s not just me and that not everyone here is a super-person! haha.
i actually thought i had a decent chance until i came on to this website and saw some of the applicants.

@Mary-Um
That’s pretty much how I felt too…and now I feel like it’s next to impossible they would admit someone with an application like mine…haha. Oh well, goodbye Columbia~~~~~~~Hello other colleges:)
