have any people who are waiting on ILR been able to log in starting this week?

any econ majors get a reply yet?

@Vitakka I called the CHE office. I would recommend calling the college that you applied to rather than the general admissions office.

Hey guys. I am an int transfer, I was accepted back on April 11th for AEM but I haven’t heard anything from FA. I need to know before May 1st incase I waste $700 putting in my other deposits. I’ve called them but keep getting a really cold lady who told me atleast 2 weeks, but an email from FA told me 5-7 business days… May 1st is coming up really soon. Any suggestions? Advice?

@Miami what did they say? Have they started sending out the decisions? Ah,waiting makes me kind of stressed out, hope it will over soon. Trying hard to be calm and concentrated on my study now:-(

@jasmine what are you saying when you call? I’ve talked to several really great people in financial aid. I’m wondering why they’re being cold.

And I’m not suggesting it’s because of you- I’m just wondering if they’re responding poorly to certain questions.

@Miami thanks, I called and they said they’ll try to get a decision by May 1st (which is three business days 0_0), and if not, shortly thereafter. Which is great, caused I called my second choice and they extended my reply date to the 8th!

Good luck everyone that’s still waiting!

@19910217 They told me that I will receive a call on Monday to tell me my decision
I have to call again tomorrow though to clear something up about my application ONCE AGAIN! lol

@Vitakka That’s great that you got the extension! Idk what your second choice school is, but who did you call to ask for the extension? I called the admission office at my second choice to request an extension and they denied me. I was pretty upset about it because the lady sounded like she had no idea what she was talking about and was just trying to blow me off. She was pretty rude too, which was very off-putting ![]()
Everyone at Cornell that I’ve spoken to has been so incredibly nice! I really would like to just go there. lol (obviously)

Just be patient guys. They send responses as soon as they finish reading your application. I figured they accepted me so early because I sent my application from January 15th lol!

Be patient… lol easier said than done.

…em…I sent my application from Jan 25…and you got decision yesterday…Im now super nervous.

I had a quick question cause I don’t know if i messed up or not. I am applying as an econ major and on my application status on the Cornell portal it says that my primary college is Art and Science but isn’t the economics department part of the College of Agriculture and Life Science? On the Dyson website, it says for external transfer they must first apply to CALS then move to Dyson. I don’t see how i could have messed up on my application considering that you can’t apply for a major to school that doesnt even offer it. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I call the school tomorrow?

thanks

@Miami I just called the (URochester) admissions office. I was actually surprised how nice they were haha. The first woman I talked to said I probably couldn’t, but she found an admissions officer for me who told me I could! At least for an extra week. Hopefully that’s all I need! I’m not sure if I could wait more than that lol. And if by some chance I do get into Cornell, I’d like to visit before I have to decide where I’m spending the next two-three years of my life.

What’s your second choice?

Ayung. I though, you applied long time ago b4 the deadline. :D

Hey, so have any CAS applicants been accepted/rejected via mail this week?

anybody?

^Did you apply as an Economics major (CAS) or Applied Economics and Management (CALS–Dyson)? From my understanding, they are two entirely different programs. If you have any doubts that you’ve applied to the wrong one, I would call and get it cleared up.

talebi818, it is true that econ major is in Art and science, but Applied Economics and Management major is in Dyson, which is a part of CALS. Those two majors are completely different, AEM is more to business.

@ sangela856

Are you applying to AEM? If so, I hope we both get in!
