yeah, I am going to Vandy. Do you know where you’re headed yet?

@Maybelater

I went back through the posts and there were emailed acceptances as late as the 21st… I still have some hope lol.

^Yeah, I saw that post, but it seemed a bit odd to me.

Also, the acceptance rate is really low for transfers this year, yet it is something like 25% for the people on this thread. I don’t know, that already seems really high…

My only hope is coming from the fact that the people who have been accepted to the college (from this thread) have mostly been econ/gov’t majors (with the exception of like one bio major). So maybe they are doing those people first…? I don’t know, maybe not, maybe that’s just because of the high number of gov and econ applicants. :/

anyone heard more from SFS?

I’ve been reading this thread for a couple of weeks, but haven’t officially joined as a member until tonight. When I had my interview in early April, the alumni officer said that the adcoms would be making decisions late into May. She said this was the first year they would be taking two weeks off between RD and Transfer decisions. My alumni interviewer said if it was up to her, she would admit me on the spot, but I realize how difficult it is to get into any of the schools in GU. I applied to the NHS, hoping to become an RN, then a NP. I’m a non-traditional student. Anyone else apply to/hear from NHS yet? Good luck to everyone…the waiting is tough!

O.o
Thank you so much for posting! Your post gave me back a morsel of hope.
I wonder why they took two weeks off in between decisions.

@CRNPtobe. Thanks for the info. I hope that will alleviate some people’s stress.
@theclassof2013. If I don’t get into Georgetown, I’ll go back to William & Mary, which I definitely don’t want to do, but I don’t really have much of a choice.

@CRNPtobe-- My friend applied to NHS and got her decision (ACCEPTED!) on May 7th in the early afternoon! That is the only one from NHS that I have heard of so far. She applied as an International Health major though.

Does anyone else feel like this is a really odd adissions process?

@MaybeLater–the way it was conveyed to me was that they were just truly taking a breather between regular and transfer decisions.

Does anyone know if they have notified psychology majors? All I have seen on this thread for the College are econ/gov acceptances, and I’m sadly holding out hope.

@adamajl44 i’ll just copy the basic format you used… sorry i took so long!

I attend a liberal arts college ranked 26th by U.S. News (and I took 3 classes at its ivy-league affiliate, which is ranked #4 out of universities)

GPA:1st semester it was a 3.68 because I got a B in calc, but I sent them my mid-term form and my GPA on that was about a 3.8

SAT: 1470/1600 (760/710)

I’ve also really gotten involved on campus in a few different groups. I think my recs were okay, but my essays were pretty good. I applied to Gtown as a senior last year and was rejected so I’m actually pretty amazed that I got in!

Barnard?

@beautifulcold I’m Psych and am also still waiting

@IBscrewed91

yes indeed!

Hi, I followed this thread and I applied to SFS.
I emailed office about whether the decision is already made not.

BUT the office sent me a mail;
‘Thank you for your e-mail. Our decisions will be released on or before June 1st. You will receive your decision in the mail.’

she divides e-mail and mail obviously.
hmmm I think which means I have high possiblity of getting rejection anyway, I guess.
And I have to decide school before June 1st and I did not expect good news from Gtown in reality.

so, DO YOU PEOPLE THINK DO I STOP EXPECTING CHANCE TO ACCEPT IN GTOWN?
Im serious and urgent; I have to make a decisino very soon

Thanks a lot!

@wookiekie I mentioned earlier that I had emailed them, and her (Colleen’s) response was “You will hear from our office by June 1st.”

That email caused me real and sincere anxiety. I admit, yours doesn’t look super positive and the distinction between email and mail doesn’t bode well for acceptance. If I had offers from elsewhere, and gotten that, I would accept the other offer. However, I only applied to Georgetown, and that probably skews my judgement.

I really hope that you get in. Good luck!

@Wokiekie , I wouldn’t read to much into it. It may be an automated message, or it may also be that she was too lazy to look the information up. they are pretty much just saying “look, we have until June 1st, stop asking so much. we’re not going to tell you until we’re ready. back off, you’re interrupting my facebook time!”

Thanks all.

I hope I can get good news from the office.
Now only thing that I can do is just waiting and I hate waiting.

good luck

I got an early read. It was not a good one :(
