Do you guys know if the college has emailed acceptance for Biochemistry transfer students? I’ve only read about economics and government majors. I haven’t heard anything from them yet? Do you think it’s a good idea to just lose hope? The rest of the colleges I applied to rejected me; Cornell, Columbia, Amherst, Tulane, Dartmouth, Brown, Middlebury, Washington University in St. Louis, … I’ve despaired that I can’t even remember the remaining two. Let me know. Congratulations to those who got accepted.

@kmarc009 could you post your stats?

Anybody appliying to McD School of Business?
here’s what I got from an e-mail.

“We anticipate mailing out decisions early next week.”

so hopefully monday or tuesday!

3.7 gpa
Honors college graduate at local cc
HSA officer

Horrible hs record so I’m not surprised.

I had a really great interview and I got into some good schools so I’m happy but georgetown would have been awesome.

They likely won’t receive my second semester transcript until Friday, so this is very bad news for me.

@andrew06 i applied to the mcD school of business too and havnt heard anything. Good to hear that they may not be sending out most of the decisions until next week…but i guess we’ll see

@anontransfer Why do you need to send them your second semester transcript?

@andrew06 Thanks for the good news about McDonough. I was getting kinda nervous because it is so late in the process. But if they are sending out most of the decisions next week, I suppose at the very least it means that the reason I haven’t heard yet is because I am definitely rejected, :).

got accepted to SFS! found out a while ago…the acceptance letter was sent May 5th and financial aid on the 6th

@tw9000–wait, was it actually a letter from the mail? no email?

@isharmie - yes, it was an actual letter in the mail. I emailed the admissions office to make sure I wasn’t missing an email or anything and they said they are sending decisions by mail.

@tw9000, if you dont mind me asking, was it a big package, or a skinny envelope lol? thanks!

got an email yesterday after requesting an early read because of a deposit deadline…i got waitlisted. (gov major at the college)
I’m from a community college so I have to put a deposit down somewhere to ensure a spot but I would sacrifice the deposit if I did in fact get off the wait list. I was told those decisions will be after June 15th, good luck everyone

@isharmie - it was 2 small envlopes, only 1 sheet of paper each. good luck!

tw9000 Are you located in the states? I don’t mean to be super nosy, but I know that some schools will email students located in certain areas/mail letters to others outside of those areas. I thought that Georgetown only did emailed acceptances, so I guess I’m wondering what made your case different.

(This reads as an interrogation, but I’m not trying to. I’m just super anxious and hoping when there is no hope left. I imagine that I’m going to get a rejection letter, but I know that if you are in the states I’m going to be sitting there by my mailbox trying to decide if it is a happy note or a miserable note.)

No word from them on my end…

same, nada

I highly doubt the rest of us are going to be uniformly rejected. That wouldn’t make any sense logistically, at least.

I feel like if they had truly already chosen the ones they were going to accept, then they could’ve easily blasted the remaining applicants with a swift wave of rejection letters, at once ending this process and reducing the amount of early read requests. The fact that they haven’t tells me that they’re still deliberating.

@jayfromla it does seem unlikely that they would uniformly reject all of us, but it could be possible. It just seems a bit odd that no one has gotten any good news in a while, and I am quickly reaching a point of annoyance. I mean, if I am going to be rejected, I would like to know now. I wish that they would let us know as they know, instead of waiting. It is the 23rd, and I guess we will all know in less than two weeks.

I apologize for being so late in the responding to anyone/any comment - I have simply been observing.

Earlier someone said they were mailing rejection letters tomorrow so that could be a reason no one has had any news. But, I’m going to call Georgetown to see if any committees are still in session. I’m applying to SFS btw so that’s what I’ll be asking about.

Is anyone else applying to SFS and if so - do you think we still have hope?

@transfertrials
I also applied to SFS but I didnt hear any news.
if you call and get any news please post it…
I mailed them but they didnt give me any further info.
thanks
