For those waiting to hear back from SFS who are worried about the competition, my stats:

-Freshman applicant w/4.0 from a UC (two quarters)
-1300 SAT
-Top 15% of HS class
-URM (black/Jewish)
-Worked as a screenwriter throughout high school, started a film-finance business towards the end of my senior year
-Applied to SFS to study International Political Economy with an emphasis on African Studies.
-Started a few clubs in college and lead a few in high school.
-Career-wise, I’m interested in international finance and entrepreneurship and think Intl. Political Economy would be great in that respect.

@gtown5, that’s a good sign that we both haven’t heard yet. that probably means they haven’t sent anything. maybe we’ll both get in? what are your stats and where are you transferring from? :)

sfs applicant here, so i’m not planning on hearing back for quite some time still. however, that doesn’t stop me from refreshing this thread compulsively to see if anyone from sfs has heard instead of doing my philanthropy paper…

Just joined the site to give some info to you guys in case you are interested, I didn’t read the whole thread so idk if this has been posted. I was accepted to MSB today and in the letter they said that 1,900 students applied for 170 spots. Pretty selective, but I imagine anyone taking the time to post here is a solid applicant.

Let me know if anybody wants to know my background, it’s late now but I could post it up later. Good luck ;)

I have a 3.8 gpa and im from northern virgina. I’m applying from NVCC. As a gov major and I did alot of internships on capitol hill and had a congressman wirte me a rec. I hope that somewhat helps me. I hope that we all get in though

@buegie and everone else so far accepted congrats!

Wow so many posts in the last couple of hours. First, congrats to everyone who was accepted! It looks like MSB applicants are hearing fairly early. Stupid SFS really needs to hurry things up.

@CGCGCG26. Do you go to school in DC? @Gtown5. I’m from Northern Virginia too!! It would be very convenient to go to school (e.g. Georgetown) so close to home.

new to the thread, but I’m waiting “patiently” for the admissions decision as well. It’s not honestly my first choice (Johns Hopkins holds that title), but second… though my wish of moving back to DC bumps it up quite a bit seems like some of you have received notification of admissions already? is that for a particular school/program? I plan to transfer into the neurobio undergrad program if accepted. I just got accepted to my back-up schools, University of VA, and University of Richmond, now waiting for this one and JHU. I’d be transferring from a community college - is anyone on here from a CC?. I have a 4.0, and I’m a cellist/composer as well, though that’s taken a bit of a back seat til this crazy semester is over with! any science or psychology majors here?

Umm this is really weird: I called the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and asked when they would be releasing transfer applicants and she said that they have not released any. I replied that I was hearing of some decisions coming back and she said that was probably only first years because they havent released any transfer decisions yet? Maybe the different schools are operating differently from the office?

@isharmie - I imagine they have students answering the phones there, I wouldn’t put much stock in what they say. And it’s been less than 24 hours since I got my letter, the person you talked to might not have known about any decisions yet. I wouldn’t worry about it.

@MaybeLater - mine was around 1:00 pm eastern time

I made an account just to let all of you know, because I myself would like this information.
I’ll be a junior next yr, and just received my acceptance email a few minutes ago.
I am transferring into SFS.
So I guess they started sending them out. Sorry to increase nerves for those of you all out there.
