<p>You probably had only good stats, nothing else specialā¦ Getting presidential is probably harder than getting into hyps.</p>

@Chessy18 PS Semis have a 10% acceptance rate. HYPS have around a 5% acceptance rate. Also, almost all of the best students in the nation apply to one of HYPS, while GaTech cannot quite boast the same. Your last statement isnāt backed by the facts. </p>
<p>I canāt comment on whether I am ānothingā¦ special,ā but you can view my previous posts and threads to see a broader picture.</p>
<p>Whatevs, apparently they favor in-staters. I wasnāt seriously considering gatech anyways, but it just feels kind of weird not even getting semis.</p>
<p>Just correcting Nihilus. 12500 EA applicants, 600 Semifinalists. That would be < 5%.</p>
<p>And actually getting presidential would be <0.5% which is certainly more difficult than Ivy.</p>
<p>12500 total applicants to GaTech, but those guys have to be accepted first. You canāt get rejected from GaTech but be accepted to the scholarship lol. so 40% of 12500 is 5000. 600 out of 5000 accepted is 12%. Adding the rejected apps to the pool artificially deflates it.</p>

<p>Iām a semifinalist, which is a little surprising to me considering that my essay was pretty boring, and I have basically no extracurricular activities. 4.0 unweighted GPA and 2350 (750 writing) on the SAT.</p>
<p>They want me to send a one-page resume. What should I put on this resume? The only resume I have just regurgitates information I already put on my Common App, and I really donāt have anything else to put on there. Is that okay?</p>
<p>Guys I have actually no idea why Iām a semi finalist. I had a 2010 SAT. I feel like I donāt deserve this :(</p>
<p>But donāt get me wrong, I am definitely grateful of the opportunity, I just donāt understand why they chose me.</p>
