Speaking of which, my grandfather, who was a Yalie asked me if I was using Harvard the way it should be used: as a saftey school when I was applying to Yale in the RD round…little did he know if I get in I’m not applying anywhere else…

@frozens totally agree! We don’t want to Get tons of posts or something, we just want to talk to people who are going through the same thing as ourself… Furthermore, we want to help eachother as much as we can and encourage each other!
Anyway, we shouldn’t care what others think of us… We know our true intentions, that is, to be united! We are not against each other on this thread, rather we are all in this together! We are like a big big big big familia :’)

@PcollegegirlP

VERITAS!!!

@Jewwlioonn My favorite HY sign (saw it on a student blog somewhere I think) said “Yale is Bad.”

edit: Idk where I found it first, but look up Johnny Tang on fb and you’ll see it haha, it’s funnier in the pic

I did the same for my art supplements and they both don’t have any views as well… :(. Kind of concerning, but I hope they evaluate them before next week.

Ugh, it’s so nerve-wracking to know that they are evaluating applications RIGHT NOW!!!

Anyone else had dreams of getting accepted? I had one where I got deferred but I refused to believe it and I woke up within the dream to what I thought was real-life and ended up accepted. Lol, I’m taking it as a good sign

@Jewwlioonn I loved the “Yale cites Wikipedia” one!

@PcollegegirlP: Yeah, you summarized it perfectly! If the applicants are this thread are indicative of the Harvard student body/people Harvard attracts, then I’m so glad I chose to apply to Harvard SCEA no matter the outcome. No matter what people on other threads say, I’m happy I’m a part of it. And Veritas indeed!
@AuTurtle @Jewwlioonn: I liked the “Harvard is #cos(2pi)” one! It was very Ivy League haha. Oh, and I thought the “Yale uses Bing” sign was hilarious. And I agree Jewwlioonn, I think Yale is amazing too :)

@phenomenon923: How were you able to tell that your art supplements didn’t have any views? Is there a link to that information somewhere?

Well, I uploaded links to videos on Vimeo on Slide Room, so I just took a look at those videos today and saw that they had no views. Perhaps because they are embedded on Slide Room, views do not show up on the original link? Not sure about the mechanics of this… I am probably just worrying too much. :)

@frozens I agree with u! I’m also really happy to be a part of it!
Almost 7 days left! A week! Can’t wait! :-SS

@phenomenon923: Thanks—I guess for people who upload PDFs or images to SlideRoom, there’s no way to tell. If your video is embedded in SlideRoom, my guess is that any views there wouldn’t show up on the external site. But I’m no expert on this.

Guys, I had my interview yesterday, and it went extremely well! My interviewer and I really bonded, and the interview itself lasted for about an hour and a half. It’s so sad and unfortunate that interviews don’t play a role in the admissions process. On the other hand, less than week before decisions are released. I seriously can’t take this anymore! I’m literally losing my mind!

@visionary123 any memorable questions? any memorable parts of the interview? Good job btw!

Also, Harvard still hasn’t released its Early Action numbers! It’s so annoying! The only thing I know for a fact is that recruited-athletes represent about a 60% of those admitted early. Athletes…

@visionary123 wow that’s a lot-- source?

I’m an athlete, but I’m not being recruited

I can never get the smiley faces correct…
Lol

@Visionary123 Your estimate is way off. Harvard recruits somewhere around 200-250 athletes each year, and assuming that all of these apply EA- with just under a thousand EA applicants accepted in total- they don’t make up more than 20-25% of EA admits.
