^please don’t start this

@skieurope haha different superstitions then i supposed i have harvard stuff because my mom…but i can definitely the not wearing college apparel either. I made the mistake of wearing a harvard sweatshirt in my dorm once (never again lmao) and now one of my friends keeps calling me “harvard” lol…once i get rejected I’m sure that will all stop xD

@jdondeca That’s awesome! I consider my main hooks to be my novel writing and my rather unusual career interest/experience (opera administration).
I totally get all of you guys. I’m starting to get really anxious, too. :(

@skieurope @soccerlover17 I’ve been sleeping in a Harvard shirt most nights!

I also won’t be buying any college gear until I’m accepted anywhere! I feel like seeing that in my closet will be a very unwelcome reminder of a rejection, haha. I’ll be wearing plenty of crimson that day, though!

@frozens same here! Before I buy anything, I’m gonna wait to get my decision!

i also refuse to wear any college gear before i get accepted. December 11th can’t come faster…

Who else saw The Game ? so amazing!!!

Didn’t watch the game, but did see all the awesome posters there!!

Speaking of The Game, have you guys seen the video the Yale College Council made in response to On Havard Time’s Game videos? It’s pretty cringeworthy! <a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube;

Out of curiosity, has anyone else seen the excellent college process documentary In 500 Words or Less? We watched it in school, and I find myself revisiting it often.

@calliemoon11, do you have the link?

Also, does anyone know what time Harvard decisions usually come out? I’m already scheduling out December 11, haha.

@calliemoon11: I believe that they came in around 5 PM EST last year

@frozens: Thank you! Now I know what class I’ll be in and I can start devising an escape strategy.

@calliemoon11: Of course! I’ll be at work then, so I know exactly what time I’ll be taking my break :)

Hi everyone! So, I got an email this week from an admissions officer at Harvard asking me to send in a sample of the work I’ve done with the lab I’ve been working at for a couple of years (“We’ve noticed you’ve done a great deal of research with the XYZ Laboratory. Would you mind sending along a sample of your work to be evaluated as part of your application?”). I’ve never heard of this happening. Is this something they do often? Is it good? It sounded good and I sent in an abstract (after almost crying in front of my boss, ack), but I don’t want to get my hopes up.

@hnorelle That’s a great sign!!! That means they’re interested in you and want to learn more about you. At least it means that they haven’t discarded your application; at best it means that they’re strongly considering you for early admission. Congratulations!

@hnorelle, I think it’s definitely a good sign!
