@nomatterwhat @calliemoon11 Thank you! That’s good to hear. Still hyperventilating every day 'till December 11, though! Agh. Good luck to both of you (and everyone else, too)!

@hnorelle - If you don’t mind me asking, which day did they send it? P.s. that sounds like a great sign!!!

@hnorelle Yes, good luck to you, too! I’m super excited for you!

@WooTheDay Thanks! I got the email on Wednesday, I think.

Anyone from India who’s gotten an interview?

Been waiting eagerly!

Interview in 19 hours… :-SS It’s at his house and I haven’t heard that from anyone yet so I’m not really sure what to expect lol.

I’m in Michigan, btw.

P.S. Is anyone else obsessive about their admissions counselors? I’ve literally looked up all of my regional counselors for every school that lists them. I know them by name and I’ve stalked their LinkedIn profiles. Lmao that’s probably pretty weird but whatever. It might just make it worse if I’m rejected because I’ll know who stamped a big, fat rejection on my file. Haha oh well

@TinyDancer97: Good luck with your interview! One of my friends had his interview at his interviewers home as well, so it’s definitely not unheard of And I wouldn’t even know how to find my regional admissions rep, but I have been obsessively keeping up with Harvard news. I read The Crimson daily haha.

Just curious, but how do you guys know decisions are coming out on the 11th? I thought Princeton and Harvard came out on the same day, and I’ve been mostly hearing December 15th (mid-December?) as the decision release date.

@otter101 well somebody posted a likely letter and it said the 11th and then someone also asked the admission office and H said on the 11th (maybe even 12th ) but everybody thinks it’s the 11th! One thing is for sure though, it’s either the 11th or the 12 th…(Last years decisions came out on the 13th btw)
@calliemoon11 Last year it was 3:00 pm EST…that’s what it says on last years thread!

@Kashallover In India, Interviews are give to candidates that will most likely be admitted. What are your stats?

@harvard00 I’m with ya on the college gear thing haha

@TinyDancer97
When you say “admissions counselors”, do you refer to “Harvard admissions officers” or “high school counselors”?
What does regional mean? State? Or East, West, Midwest, etc?

Hey guys.

I’m slightly worried because I applied to economics in the UK (we apply to a course here) but I told Harvard I plan to study physics at Harvard (I made it explicitly clear through my CA essay, amongst other areas of my application. In fact my essay was about the realisation that the journey of life should not be a pursuit of affluence and wealth but rather a pursuit of passionate satisfaction). However, I only decided to switch from economics to physics very recently, so my teachers may have written their recommendations with a concentration towards economics. I don’t want Harvard to think I’m lying about what I plan to study or am unsure about my intended concentration. Should I email them to explain my situation?

Thanks everyone!

No. Harvard does not admit by major and it is unlikely that your recommendations talked extensively about potential future studies (but you can always ask your teachers).

@TinyDancer97 how did you look up your admissions officers?

@bvborussia Did you know that about a third of Harvard graduates go into finance/consulting? I feel like they graduate more materialistic and less idealistic than they are at the start. Also, I heard Wall street tries to attract Harvard physics majors (weird).

I’m planning on concentrating on physics as well, even though everyone in my family is in economics. What drew you to the subject, and why’d you make the switch?

Hey everyone! I was just offered an interview to be a field representative with my local assemblyman, however the interview is on dec. 8th, and the business that I started has profited $2000, is there any way I can update my common app for harvard?? Thanks so much and good luck to everyone 18 days!!!:))

Does Harvard really look past standardized tests scores? I have a 31 for highest composite but I have a 32 superscored. I’m just really nervous because my essays and extracurriculars are the bomb and I really hope they don’t throw me out because of that
