@PcollegegirlP Thank you so much!

@bvborussia Though I’m firmly in the humanities camp, I’m also fascinated by astrophysics and I find that quote beautiful. Have you checked out the courses at World Science U, by any chance?

@PcollegegirlP: that’s very helpful! I’m crossing my fingers that decisions will come out at 3 this year too

@frozens me too! Literally I can’t wait… Time seems to be going by so slowly… These three weeks look like 3 centuries! Need to be patient

@PcollegegirlP I see someone else has also been reading through last year’s thread. Reading through the pre-decisions posts is nerve-racking!

@calliemoon11 @PcollegegirlP: Me too! Is it bad that my heart was pounding as I read posts from last year’s decision day? If that gets me so nervous, I can’t begin to imagine how jittery I’ll be on OUR decision day. I’m feeling so impatient!

@calliemoon11 @frozens haha u guys too?
Lol indeed it is nerve-racking! I could exactly understand the emotions they were going through! Now that I have finished last years thread, should I go to the class of 2017’s thread? Lol, I need to do something related to Harvard otherwise I start to freak out and grow impatient!
It’s so cool to talk to u guys, we are all in the same boat… We understand eachother lol…

@PcollegegirlP: I read 2017’s thread and it was just as nerve-wracking! 2016 was a bit of a let down, because CC crashed right as decisions came out, so there wasn’t the same sense of urgency lol. The other day, I watched like 10 On Harvard Time videos. They were a good distraction, but made me fall even more in love with Harvard, which is potentially a problem given the very high probability of a deferral/rejection I’m glad I’m not the only one super obsessed though, haha! We’re all in this together…

Haha @frozens I can totally relate to you! I also spend a lot of time watching On Harvard Time videos! Lol, I even checked out Annenbergs menu lol… And spent an hour imagining stuff at Annenberg Lol, sounds creepy, i know!
I then checked out Harvards student organization list, that is, all the clubs and Activities…
U r right, it indeed makes us fall in love with Harvard even more…
Ahhh somebody who understands, finally !

@PcollegegirlP I actually applied Princeton SCEA (heheh nearly did Harvard though) but yeah, guess we’ll all play the waiting game… Best of luck to everyone

@frozens @PcollegegirlP YES! My heart was definitely going! I was also letting out small squeals at the acceptance stories! (I’ve been watching acceptance videos, too, and they’re killing me.) I think I’ll join you in going back to 2017. I’ve also watched On Harvard Time videos…I agree with both of you, I can’t decide whether immersing myself in all this Harvard stuff is making it better or worse D:

@otter101 Good luck to you, too!

@otter101 Good luck, hope u all the best!
@calliemoon11 I will start with the 2017 thread tomorrow then
I watched an acceptance video that made me cry …I cry every single time I watch it… It’s Aubrey’s acceptance…If u haven’t already checked it out, u should!

@PcollegegirlP @calliemoon11: I couldn’t agree more…I’ve watched so many acceptance videos, and I choke up a bit when people get in!! I even somehow stumbled on the videos different Harvard Houses make for Housing Day. Now I know what House I’d want to be in if I got in, which is crazy because even if I was miraculously accepted, people are randomly sorted into their houses! I think that my obsession is probably a bad thing, looking at that acceptance rate…but I can’t stop myself! At least it helps pass the time till decisions come out, right?

And Pcollegegirl: Annenberg is so gorgeous - it reminds me so much of Hogwarts, and I can’t even begin to imagine how cool it would be to eat meals there everyday lol:blush:

I redid my supplement essay for another college and the redo is so much better. Should I send the update to the status portal? Or would harvard hate that lol

With all Ive uploaded I think they can tell I’m quite impulsive lol

@bvborussia I haven’t watched that documentary, but that quote really hits home. And I agree that economics and the like are so dry. The more I learn about physics, it seems, the more petty and insignificant finance/economics/ anything applied become. However, physics and math become dry once in a while for me, and shows like Cosmos and Fabric of the Cosmos really help me rediscover what motivates me.

Btw has anyone seen Interstellar or The Theory of Everything yet? They seem so exciting, I can’t wait to see them!!

and @frozens , which house is the best?

@Karabekian: Can’t say which is the best, but I’d want to be in Eliot House It’s on the river, so it’s centrally located, absolutely beautiful with a lot of history, and from all of the videos I’ve seen, it seems that it has the most spirit. Plus, the House Masters are pretty cool. God, it’s bad that I’ve actually researched this…

@frozens lol I also think about what house I want, but then I’m like, NO , I don’t care what house I live in as long as I get in lol… It can get stressful if u think of it too much! Let us stay positive, Everything is possible, after all no one really applies to Harvard thinking they will get in ,right?
I know it’s easier said then done… I myself end up saying that I have no chance, BUT I guess we have to be positive! I honestly hope u all the very best!
And yes Annenberg is gorgeous… It reminds me of Harry Potter lol… It’s amazing…
I’m in love with Harvard … Haha @frozens , I’m so glad I’m not the only one researching harvard in such depth!

Why are people researching houses? It’s not like you have a choice. LOL.

Having said that, I have my preference but I am resolved to only think about anything related to life at Harvard if (and that’s a big if) I get accepted.

@PcollegegirlP: You too?! Man, we seem to be on the same wavelength here! That’s a good way to look at things. i’m a bit of a pessimist, so I’ve basically convinced myself I’m getting rejected. I figure that way, if I am rejected/deferred, I’ll be able to take it in stride because I’ve prepared myself for this. And if I’m accepted, then I’ll be that much more ecstatic! My love for Harvard is becoming a problem. Best of luck to everyone on this thread, though! You guys are awesome.
@skieurope: Yup, I know that (I mentioned that in my earlier post, when I said House assignment was random haha). I tried to put anything Harvard-related out of my mind, but I guess I just couldn’t. Your mentality is a lot more practical :).
