@yesyesyes1 i think i also got 2 wrong, and probably it will be 740, and 750 if we’re really really lucky
@love2cheeses
Say only about 1000 people are going to be taking the SAT on feb 21. This scale is way to small for collegeboard to get an accurate assessment of how difficult the test was. Thus, they will use the most recent scale/curve.
@emersonballer21 @yesyesyes1 was math that easy? Do you guys remember what the the hard questions were?
@vmiller7723 @yesyesyes1 i dont remember the exact Questions but there were some tricky and weirdly worded questions on this test that might have thrown a lot of people off.
the curve thing …so the test on feb21 will be exactly the same as the test on jan24?
@lu2014 No, my understanding is it will be a different test but using Jan 24 curve because not large enough sample to decide the curve from the experimental section. weird, but looks like that is how CB will do.
@love2cheeses did you take the Jan 24 test? How was it? Also, was the experimental section very easily identifiable or not so?
@vmiller7723 I did not, according to my son it was average. The experimental section was easily identified and one of his friends just answered all As and may risked score being cancelled. Glad I read at CC someone’s friend got 2270 but randomly answered the experimental and scored got cancelled. I warned my son ahead of time and hope no one is repeating the same mistake here.
@love2cheeses Ok that’s great to know I will make sure to not go crazy trying my hardest on the experimental but also not just put all random answers.
@love2cheeses @vmiller7723 my experimental was a writing and it was about the same difficulty as the actual writing section
@emersonballer21 was it identifiable?
@College123college I am drowning in homework, so I am naturally distracted from thinking about my SAT score. But I also think I did well, so that helps too
@Omar9714 700’s in all sections is a good benchmark to hit.
i hope i got a 2100. PRAYING
@emersonballer21 this math section was one of the hardest ones in a while in my opinion. I think with how many tricky problems there were and the fact that the math curve was so harsh in december that -2 is going to at least be a 750 maybe a 760 even.
@yesyesyes1 do you remember any of the really hard ones specifically
sets G and F, mean median mode with x’s, trapezoid, rings, x/y, and a couple others were fairly tricky
@yesyesyes1 @ilovethecity @emersonballer21 @College123college Did you guys think this SAT’s math section was harder than usual? Please answer - especially if you’ve taken the SAT in the past
@collegenow111 I took the SAT the first time in March 2014 with barely any preparation, and I scored a 570 in Math. This is my second time taking the SAT, and by far, the math was easier for me. Sure, I still left a few questions blank, but because I had studied so much this time around, I found the questions to be not so difficult.
Practice makes perfect, and the SAT asks the same questions over and over again. If you do the practice tests in the Blue Book, you’ll know what to expect on the real SAT. So basically, just study and the questions won’t seem to bizarre.
