^ yes it was “unbelievability of the creature”. I remember that as well. I don’t think that questoin has been discussed yet.

correct on the encyc question as well

correct on the encyc question as well

Susies-

For your encylcopedia question, i think i said that he gave the examples to show the wide range of topics covered in the encyclopedia.

I can’t really answer your other questions because i keep confusing them with other questions in the same sections and i can’t really remember what exactly the questions were in the first place.

I know that for your squid one, I ultimately decided against the choice that said “to show the creature’s physical strength” but I don’t remember what the better answer was.

For why the mom gave the daughter the map of her heart, I again may be confusing this with another answer to another question, but perhaps it was the answer that was like So that the daughter could better understand her mother’s essence?

oh yeah I agree with Cory and Brownieboy; it was to show how unbelievable the giant squid was.

ya broad range of topics in encyclopedia

I agree with “broad array of topics” for the encyclopedia, as well as “unbelievability” for the squid.

wow…im sorry i just have to annouce this…so far as i’ve been reading over this thread i have not found one CR that i ahve gotten wrong (assuming that pristine/deter and disdainful are correct). YEAAA I BEASTEED IT. sorry. i had to

10 char edit

ok so what would be a math score if you got 2 MC wrong left one blank and got a grid-in wrong?

I’m pessimistically assuming that I messed up 2-3 CR questions, including inaccessible/thwarted. How many questions can I afford to get wrong, historically speaking, for an 800?

is it confirmed that the motorcycle section is NOT experimental?

i had the motorcycle section as my first sections after the essay. I was hoping that that one was experimental, did everyone else have it?

i’m trying to figure out the same thing. But it’s usually 2 i think. Once you get 3 wrong, the dropoff might be down to like a 760/770, since its a difference of 2 raw. (2 wrong = -2, 3 wrong = -4). So i’m hoping i stay at the 2 wrong i’ve counted so far

Motorcycle is not experimental

I’ve counted just 2 wrong as well, thankfully. Besides the stupid rainforest sentence completion, I’ve desperately argued on behalf of the literal, “She was a writer in search of a subject.” (i.e. Why did the author ask her mother as an adult?) It’s not exactly the consensus here, though!

For the “each of which sells,” wouldn’t it be more succinct to say “both sell?”

I mean…to say:

The two stores compete with each other, each of which sells [blah].

is a bit redundant, no?

Sorry for butchering the sentence…I can’t remember it exactly as it was.

the privacy section was the experimental right?

Redundancy < comma splice

I’m pretty sure that “each of which sells” is a superior choice.

ye experimental

if “looking for material as a writer” is wrong, then that’s 3 for me =(. I still think it’s right though…but lets not get into it again lol

Wouldn’t both have a comma splice?

Both answers would have two independent clauses connected with a comma…?

don’t play around with stuff like that cory123. =)

what did we agree on for the rain forest one? inaccessbile or pristine,

i still think pristine does not work in the sentence

i put inaccessible but it looks like most agree it’s pristine. stupid question!
