ye im hoping for 1550+ since i heard columbia doesn’t care much at all about the writing. But a 2300+ would be nice anyway =)…or even any improvement from my 720 W last time

lol, i am too scared to check

lol, i feel everyone’s pain…all i want is 1500/2100

I am so disappointed… i am 220 points below what i thought i got
600-CR
680-Math
600-writing (9 essay)

My summer is basically ruined, i definitely did not think i got that many wrong, no matter what.

i feel your pain… i was hoping for a 700 math at least and i got a 650!!

yeah i did worse than i wanted also.

I achieved an 800 again in the Writing section, which, to be honest, I had not been completely certain of achieving. I was particularly surprised by the 80 on the MC that I received because I was almost certain that I had missed one or two questions on the section.

Therefore, I’d like to ask others who also achieved an 80 MC subscore on the June SAT if they had marked “No Error,” or choice E, for the Identifying Sentence Errors question that started with “After 1965, …” The issue in the sentence was apparently the difference between the past tense and present perfect tense, and it appears that many CCers marked the past tense as an error. I, on the other hand, actually marked it as E, No Error, one of the 6 E’s I counted on the ISE section. Did anyone else who achieved an 80 MC mark E for that question, or am I the only one? And what did you choose for the Improving Paragraphs question (question 35) that asked for the best sentence to delete from the entire essay? This is actually the one question I have been protesting with ETS/College Board over the past couple of weeks, and there’s a chance that they actually heeded my criticism and dropped the question from scoring.

Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks.

That’s bizarre…I also scored an 80 on the Writing MC, but I marked the “After 1965” sentence as having a tense error. :-/

Besides, I remember deleting Sentence #5 since its tone was inconsistent with the passage as a whole.

bschenkel,

My guess is that one wrong out of 49 questions was still an 80 on the curve (I assume from this that this Writing section was actually somewhat difficult) and that ETS threw out the “which sentence to delete” question that I challenged (so the Writing section was actually scored out of 48 questions). Cool. :)
