I got M:690 R:560 W:620 (8 essay) so 1870 10 higher than last time. Will my 1860 still look better since (690 m, 590 cr, 580 w) because some schools don’t look at writing.
How was the 3 polygon one even done? I left that one blank so I don’t even know.

@skeltor57 basically there were 3 regular polygons. A pentagon, a square and a triangle. Each had perimeter 6 and since they’re regular, all their sides are equal so each triangle side is 6/3=2, each side of a square is 6/4=1.5 and each side of a pentagon is 6/5=1.2.
You add up all those sides. Then there are the tiny sides along the perimeter. You have to subtract one side from another to get these values. For example, one of the tiny sides was a triangles side minus a squares side so you had to find its length by 2-1.5=.5 another side was a squares side minus a pentagons side so its length is 1.5-1.2=0.3.
Then you add them all up and get 12.6.
Sorry I don’t have a diagram so it is hard to clearly show you but that’s the gist of the problem.

Just curious because some colleges don’t even look at writing.
posting for student - I think the math curve was generous (got a 760 and thinks missed 3). Also, it
says 76 subscore for writing with an 8 essay for a 740. In the past, that essay score would
have brought down the writing by more than that.

@neuprospect98 I would get Erika Meltzers Ultimate Guide for SAT Grammar for Writing. I went up from a 53 to a 63 in the Writing MC (My essay score went down the 2nd time but I still went up 40 points overall) I got 580 my first time in December (10 essay) and 620 this time in March (8 essay).
For reading Idk I’m in the same boat as you I suck at reading. And for math I’m just good at math so I was able to just get 690 on my own ability at math rather than prepping.

I’m really worried right now. How did my CR score fall so much??? Feeling like I’m not going to be able to reach my PSAT score. Feels terrible.
This test had a particularly brutal CR section with a not very lenient curve.

A lot of people are saying that CR was really hard but i thought it was okay, but I found math really hard which is weird because typically math is my best section. On the October SAT I got M: 750 W: 650 and CR: 730 and on the PSAT I got M: 77 CR: 73 and W: 71 so I have no idea what happened this time. Should I retake and try for a 2300+ superscore? I think I can get an 800 on the math, that’s what I usually get on the practice tests.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED how on earth did i do well on writing? i’ve never done any prep besides the psat if that even counts… plus i thought i was an act person. anyone have tips for raising math or CR? i’d love to get at least one of them over 700 if that’s possible

@aao1997 I would just submit the ACT score, it is better than your SAT.
