***OFFICIAL MARCH 2015 SAT (US ONLY)***

discussing CR questions other than vocab is pretty foolish… You can’t really ever be sure unless you know the ins and outs of the test as well as some top tutors…

what were the 5 no errors i think i had 4…

@hughhuang96824 i think it was undercut with deference, which is a different meaning.

How many no errors? I had 4
What is my score for getting 5 or 6 wrong on reading?

Mineral question?

@top586 I had 5 no errors and I am reasonably confident there were 5 in total.

  1. Skiing (had never had...)
  2. Tomatoes (genetically...)
  3. The building (constructed...)
  4. Leading actors (played theirs...)
  5. Anthropology

what were the tomatoes/anthropology questions?

Can we please clear this up? Was it personification or analogy and why?

@satanxietea‌ analogy because it compares to a mosaic more often than it talks about just getting taller. besides, it doesn’t make sense that only people get taller.

metaphor/simile: A is like B, A is B
analogy: that A works like B is like how C does like D

can anyone estimate my score??

i think i got 800 on math, i think about 5 to 6 on reading, and 3 to 4 on writing with an essay of 9 i guess just to be safe. Will it be possible to jump 2200?

@satanxietea‌ I said personification because tall tales grew taller…the comparisons that others are talking about sound more like similes and metaphors.

@sateven If those are accurate you’ve absolutely broken 2200.

And what of the question on the same article. Was it contingent on the degree of detail? I know many people chose synthesize but the articles never mention specifically how well the information was combined. Much more so, both articles spoke of the importance of all the details one was able to gather, especially the second passage, where the author described all of the “nuggets” of information he received. What do you think?

Hey guys, so when are we expecting scores?

April 2

What was the tomatoes question?

does anyone remember the answer choices for the cr one that was like “enrich debate with terms?”

guys was the writing question abt past and present error or no error

What do you guys think -2 + 11 essay will be for writing section?

What was the writing passage question about “for one thing” vs “however” in more specific context + answer choices?

@satanxietea‌ The tomato writing question one was wrong because it had “…, and therefore…”. You can’t use “therefore” to join two independent clauses into one sentence.

@WoodyD40‌ No, therefore itself cannot be used to join two independent clauses, however, if inserted after the conjunction “and”, it is grammatically correct.
