*Official May 6th SAT Discussion*

naturefreak, which one didn’t u finish and which one did u put same as me?
yes that’s correct. diffident and aplomb were opposites, which was what the structure of the sc was looking for.

did u get an entomology question about insects? it seems i either skimmed over that answer or it was part of the CR experiemental (that i didn’t take since i got a writing experimental). can someone confirm?

that 1st constant question i got -14 as the answer…im pretty sure that was wrong. it was a total guess :/

k^2x=kx
k can be 0 or 1

x^2 + kx + 15= (x+t)(x+5)
t must equal to 3 since 5*3=15
thus when u FOIL out the factors the equation becomes. x^2 + 8x + 15.
so k=8

asparo89, whihc one were u talking about. i gave two “k” questions?

smartboy-
the pulse is excitment, the propose a theory, and the rarified one I got.
I didn’t finish the cheetah one.

12=k*5
k=12/5

60=kx

x=25 right?

Guys listen…

did you guys get these two as answers to any of the test

Spread
Integrity

Plz tell me if u did. They were 2 of the earlier SC’s.

i’m very confident the jefferson one about the narrator’s attitude is dismissive and not skeptical…skeptical is when there’s an idea or something out there that hasn’t really been implemented yet and you’re not sure it’s going to work, then you’re skeptical, but since the idea of jefferson’s natural rights has been in use for well over 200 years, then the author has seen (and discussed in the passage) that they are idealistic and can’t really work, so he’s dismissive of it, not skeptical

i didn’t get spread or integrity, tho i remember seeing them as answer choices.

**did u get an entomology question about insects? it seems i either skimmed over that answer or it was part of the CR experiemental (that i didn’t take since i got a writing experimental). can someone confirm?

i sure hope ur right nightflarer

please answer my question
wut was the question the the “rarified region” quetion?
wus any of ur answer like “a place where reality doesn’t exist”
wut was the answer to that question with “the debate” in the cheetah section?
was it to discuss how to prevent cheetahs to go into extinction
also the last question in the short reading about a guy who’s pulse jump when he sees a tree. was it to advocate a cause?

please answer to my questions, i really need to know around wut score i got.

It’d be best if you guys create three different threads for the Math, Verbal, and Writing, because it would be so much easier than just a compilation of everything, and it would also be easier to follow.

smart boy i think it’s not to offer a theroy but to support it “advocate a cause”

what was the answer to the writing question near the end about the boy who moves from a desert climate to some other climate, the answer choices were like “from” “but” and I forgot the rest

nvm. u edited ur post.

ummm if his pulse jumps, isnt he excited and/or interested?

It was docile, which annoyed me.

I only knew that docile meant able to be taught, but it also means controllable. That annoys me, especially since taciturn was a good trap and a good case could be made for it.

why couldn’t the last one in the short reading passage about trees “advocate a casue”
he already offered a theory, the last sentence is to support it

they should make a group portion of the SAT where you are paired with a random person from your room by computer

smart boy…it was the 1st k question i know there were 2 of those k questions but it was the 1st one
