There was a discussion about it on page 133.
Actually, it’s more likely that we will receive our decisions on March 19th. Historically, that’s the date when Northwestern releases its decisions.
I wouldn’t expect a decision anytime before they said the latest date is. We expected the ED decisions the Thursday before the week they came out but we had to wait until the very last day.
Of course, it’d be so much cooler if RD decisions came out earlier.
Is there any use in emailing a letter of interest to the regional director of admissions? I know UMich encouraged that on their admissions tumblr.
It is always a good idea to keep your regional admission officer posted of any new achievements.
are there any international students who have not received an email confirming that nw has received everything? I only got an email encouraging me to cancel my financial aid request as an international student o-o

Did anyone audition at the music school and get a letter a week ofter their audition saying they should research different opportunities and faculty on campus in case they got in? Don’t know what to make of that letter.

@nervousfreshie I got the same email encouraging me to withdraw my financial aid app! It sucks that we get it harder on us. However I did receive an email saying that my app was completed and under review.
@alafae International students get that email becasue NU is not need blind for international students. For us, our ability to pay the university is a big factor in our admissions decision, so the more aid you ask for, the less chances you have of getting in.

@Rappnic when did you receive the email that your app was completed? Was it through commonapp or through NW’s specific school email? I’m freaking out because I’m scared my app is not complete but I’m sure it is…
I got an email that starts with this, I’m an international student as well:
"We are pleased to inform you your regular decision application to Northwestern University for fall 2015 is now complete and under review. You will receive an admission decision by early April.
Should you need to make any changes to your mailing address, or your intended school and major, all requested changes must be made in writing to the Office of Undergraduate Admission…"

@2015Lalo If you get in or if you don’t get in? What did you mean? I got in NU Bienen through ED and I didn’t get that email, would you mind copying the content?
The decisions should all come out the 19th or 20th, yes.
Is there a specific place to send application updates (awards and such) or is it through email?
I emailed the admissions officer in charge of my area with a question about my application update, but I’m not sure if there is another way to do actual updates. Honestly, the best way to get information about this kind of stuff is to call. That’s what they’re paid for after all.
