****OFFICIAL Northwestern CLASS OF 2019 Discussion Thread****

@Jamesesesess do you know when UW-Madison’s decisions are releasing?

Thrilled to be accepted! Does anyone knows when NU will be releasing financial packages and things of that sort? Thanks!!
And to those who got waitlisted/rejected, don’t give up. You’ve all worked extremely hard to get to where you are and you guys will end up at a school that appreciates your talents and your potential. Good luck to all!

@Ambitious19‌ I see you everywhere haha! :slight_smile: fellow deferred princeton applicant here. (that thread was a good time)

@numnums from previous years, it appears that the financial aid information comes out a couple of days after decisions are sent.

@laurenc96 i’m about an hour away from LA, So. Cal represent!

A cursory glance of this thread suggests that NU practices some kind of yield protection. Quite a few with exceptional stats got rejected or wait listed.

rejected…sucks but i’m trying not to let it get to me. I was feeling pretty optimistic after getting an early RD Wes acceptance but now my confidence is in the gutter. Gonna be a rough week. Congrats to those accepted!

Rejected, but I’m taking it well. I was definitely disappointed at first but I know that so many other people had great extracurriculars and probably fit the school better. I feel like most of my chances rested on stats (35 ACT and 3.95 GPA) but in hindsight like there was a lot more I could have done throughout high school.

I still have some great options, like I got into UCLA and it’s in state for me. Northwestern would have been nice but I know I’ll love being a Bruin. And I still have Cal and a really busy Ivy Day, so for those of you fellow rejects/waitlists waiting on those schools, best of luck! You guys were an awesome thread and it helped pass the time when I was so anxious, and for those of you that got in, I hope you guys enjoy the next four years!

Happy to be accepted! Good luck to all those who did not get the answer they wanted. I know you guys will find the right school.

Rejected, a little bit disappointed, but I’m happy for those who got accepted! Congrats!!!

I’ve been trying to have a good perspective throughout the college process, taking it maturely until now, but I’m just so done.

@mtjade same

too true

Rejected, but international applicant from an overcrowded country, so I guess I’m not so surprised lol. Congratulations to those who got in, and perhaps I’ll see you around Chicago!

Sorry to those of you who didn’t get in. I bet the vast majority (if not all of you) have some great options. I’ve noticed what amazing stats you all seem to have. Don’t know if my son got in…I’m still waiting for him to tell me.
