@TheMagicMarker And the sequel: Rejection
–a horror film like none other
@toothpasteonface I don’t think NU has given us the account or password yet, they should come in the e-mail on the 15th.
@rwerner16 SF and chances are you know what school that is
anyone live in LA?
a person from my school who got into Brown last year said that NU has a “number” threshold in which they seriously focus on your SAT’s ACT’s and GPA instead of EC’s and essays. I thought the essay and your ec’s are extremely important, prob more important than the numbers. so what’s true and what’s not??
@toothpasteonface Where did he/she get that info from? I feel like NU actually does give a holistic review the increasing number of applicants and also ED applicants might make the numbers thing closer to being the truth?
Although I’m trying to maintain a negative mindset, I keep going back and forth between expecting acceptance and rejection. Certain components of my application are extremely strong and make me think “there’s no way I won’t get in” while other aspects are on the weaker side and cause me to feel hopeless. It’s SO BAD!
@smb63097 im doing the same exact thing :-S
Weird to think that a year from now another group of NU hopefuls will be reading this thread to try and alleviate their stress. Hi guys. I hope 2016 is nice.
@toothpasteonface @driedmangoes every single school values grades and test scores the most. ECs and essays are important but not close to grades and test scores. If you have crappy grades/scores, you won’t get in no matter how good your ECs and essays are, it’s that simple. Some schools value essays and ECs more than others and I’ve heard that NU is one of those, but there’s no definitive answer.
Hi class of 2021, I hope you’re not too stressed!
Below average SAT, GPA and Class Rank. You guys are killing me here!
@rwerner16 @driedmangoes I’m from the bay area too
@jason922 I am with you on that!
@Suspects what school?
@driedmangoes Lynbrook ;))
@Suspects less than 20 minutes away from my school!
@driedmangoes What school? :3
any nj/nyc area applicants?
@driedmangoes he heard it from college data and I’m pretty sure NU does a holistic review too right ahhhh im paranoid right now
