Official Northwestern Transfer - Fall 2012

@inspirose: That’s the thing. I feel if I were completely unqualified, then I would’ve been rejected right away, but having to wait this long makes me think they must like me somewhat and are probably accepting the most qualified applicants first, then applicants like me will be selected from after. So I basically have a 50/50 chance of getting in, which is really nerve-wracking. Hopefully I’ll hear back from them before July 1st at least >_<

@cluelessbelle

I’m right there with ya.

I think I’m close to beating the “refresh” button on my iPhone mail app to death

it’s aggravating. I had to commit to one of my other options and already pay the deposit, now I’m struggling moving forward with housing over there because NU has yet to respond. This is infuriating.

I’m definitely not more qualified than most of you, so you never know how these things work!

hahaha good, i’m not the only one! (iPhone refresh)

@jhoops522: I know how you feel. I can’t commit to housing either until I hear back from NU. If I end up getting rejected really late, then I may find myself in crappy housing or no housing at all!
I saw some people in the 2011 thread getting accepted/rejected as late as July 1st! That’s too far from now!!!

And lol, I check my email every morning, night, and everytime my phone let’s me know I’ve got a new email. Never from NU though…smdh…

Honestly it just looks unprofessional on their part, but obviously we wanna go here which is why we’re patiently waiting.

Have you guys completed the CSS Profile yet? I’m hesitant to pay for it, especially if I might not even be accepted. I thinking about doing it as soon as (if) I’m accepted.

Do the CSS. I was hesitant at first but thing is they start allocating funds fast so you don’t wanna be late. Sure if you don’t get in you may lose $16, but if you do it in time you could get money. I filled it for my other 2 schools and got 23k and 11k.

@cluelessbelle

I did that right when I applied. I thought you had to in order to be considered for any financial aid… which for me is a necessity. I think you should do that as soon as possible. They don’t consider financial aid in the admissions process, but the deadline for financial aid applications passed a few months ago.

^
Oh s*** really? Omg, I did the FAFSA, but not the CSS profile bc I’s already paid a lot of my application and didn’t want to pay anymore if I wasn’t getting in for sure :(

Well, I guess I’ll go do it right now then. I’m also contemplating calling admissions and asking about the progress of my application

@cluelessbelle

Call them and see what they say, it’s been a few days since anyone on here talked to someone in admissions.

Ok, just called and I guess they’ve gotten so many questions about transfer apps bc the phone is answered with something along the lines of: “Transfers decisions should be out between NOW and the END OF JUNE. Decisions are made on a rolling basis, and the admissions officers won’t be able to tell you exactly when your decision will be made.”

Guess people having been asking a s***load about this lol. Well, hopefully everyone will hear back before July 1st then, lol

Accepted on June 14th via email. Applied to McCormick School of Engineering. The fact that I told them I have a deposit to make on June 8th might have helped speed up the decision.

Good luck to y’all :).

accepted a few days ago to WCAS.

Congrats! Do you two mind sharing your stats? We all hope to be joining you soon!

Well, I got rejected from the other school I applied to, so it’s kinda NU or bust now lol.
Anybody, heard anything from them today?

Yikes… sorry to hear that :frowning: I haven’t heard anything but I think their letters go out more frequently towards the end of the week, just based on my observations on here.

^
Lol, it’s ok; I was expecting it. The other school requires virtually 4.0’s to get as transfers. Now, I just wish NU would respond so I can know if I should go ahead and make a housing deposit at my current school.
