I was just going to suggest the same, go check out the UNC thread. In fact, someone even posted that their guidance counselor told them not to bother with UNC because if they had the stats to get in OOS, then they could get in to “better” schools (meaning schools with overall higher stats).
My daughter is the only one from her HS to get in to UNC from OOS and she is Valedictorian and has very, very high scores. The salutatorian with a 35 ACT did not get in EA. Of all the schools I have seen, UNC has the biggest disparity in stats between the IS and OOS kids that are accepted. (FYI, Salutatorian just got in to Wash U which has MUCH higher stats than UNC.)
It is very deceiving when you are trying to calculate your chances at UNC because the average stats suggest it’s not impossible, but if you are OOS it almost is.
For what it is worth, it is MUCH easier to get in OOS to UNC as a sophomore transfer. Much. Food for thought if you aren’t happy with where you end up freshman year.
I agree with @collegemomjam At my school the only person who got in was the valedictorian. We are in VA. OOS there is ridiculous and most are best served elsewhere
@SterlOs I believe so. When you get the email instructing you on how to check your status, you have a link. After I set up my password and logged in with my password, my nd id was on the screen.
@gaveMyAll no one really knows. However everyone’s best guess is tomorrow at 18:42 military time/ 6:42 EA / 5:42 CT. Reason for this random time is because 18:42 is the year ND was founded.
@Jibbm9 …check that…it was 3 pm. @lagirl2017 Notre Dame Day is a 29 hour event beginning April 23rd at 6:42 pm ET thru midnight April 24th…with a live stream of everything Notre Dame…Google it and you will find it…aside from viewing life on campus, it’s also their big, big big fundraising event where they are looking for contributions to different organizations on campus…everyone gets involved, each dorm does their pitch to raise money (Go Keough), I give to ND’s NROTC program also…they have a tally to see how much the university can make in a 29 hour period.
