Notre Dame day

Back to RD…just hope it’s tomorrow. Son has a 4 year Navy ROTC scholarship assigned to ND…if he doesn’t get in, we need to have it transferred to another school…don’t know how long that process takes then you are facing the May 1 deadline. Heart has been in pit of stomach knowing scholarship is riding on admission.

@gbnnynd A family member went through something like that: he was not accepted to the school assigned to his ROTC scholarship but was able to transfer it easily. Just make sure, if he doesn’t get into notre dame, to act quickly though because there are only a certain amount of spots and there are waitlists and they do fill up

@mimimo7890 Thanks…went through the transfer process 4 years ago for older son, moving the scholarship to Notre Dame from another school, he was admitted EA so timing wasn’t as big an issue. From what I understand not as many 4 year scholarships this year, so schools may have slots, but we do want to make sure he gets 2nd choice if not ND. The waiting has been excruciating.

@gbnnynd whoops thought you were talking about a visit day for accepted students. Thanks for clarifying

If it’s not tomorrow, when would it be?

@uncledrew16 it can come any day next week but most likely tomorrow

Why do people think it will most likely be tomorrow?

@mimimo7890 because the portal is usually releases 5-7 days before decisions and monday is 7 days

The 5-7 days following the email estimate is only based on the past couple times Notre Dame has used the portal system, right? I almost died of suspense last Thursday and Friday, so I am going to play it safe this time and just keep telling myself it might not be tomorrow but next week. That way, if it does get released tomorrow or later this week, I will be relaxed and pleasantly surprised by it haha. Just my two cents!

@acanil yes every time they used it so far it was 5-7 days and admissions confirmed it would be out by friday

What does that mean? “”“because the portal is usually releases 5-7 days before decisions and monday is 7 days”"". What do you mean 7 days before decisions, isn’t tmrw decisions?

@gaveMyAll what he means is based off of how they’ve released decisions in the past, the portal is usually sent 5-7 days before they release official devisions and Monday will mark the 7th day. However, there is no set date other than “late march” for when decisions will be released. We’re just assuming they will follow the same pattern as before and release them tomorrow.

I called and they said by the end of this week I’m assuming they’d give everyone that answer.

For the lucky ones this is your next stop. confirm.nd.edu anxiously waiting…

HEADS UP: a friend of mine knows someone in the admissions office and he said that tonight is the confirmed decision release date.

the day has finally arrived and i am still no where near ready to find out the decision

What is the difference between these two statements?
“…tonight is the confirmed decision release date.”
“…tonight is the decision release date.”

A liar can be identified but how much specificity he uses in his assertions. As you get older you start seeing these things in trolls and salesmen more and more.

i am not emotionally ready for this denial and for this 13 year dream of mine to come to an end…

Shit. Im scared asl. I applied to Mendoza with 3.69, weighted is 4.9. Took 10 APs. 8 of those STEMs. Bad at english classes, but never really got any Bs in my math classes. 32 act. 33 ss, with 36 in math. Do yall think commitee for Mendoza will weigh Stems far more, n rigor is high too[it considered it very important].
