Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

Any idea how many Stern acceptances there have been on this board?

@alfilm

i think i’m the only one so far. were you too? :D

Despite being glad that I survived the first several rounds of Stern rejection emails, I still wish the decision would just come! The wait is so annoying, especially not knowing if any second it might arrive in your inbox.

has anyone heard back from steinhardt? whether email or they put your transfer credits up?

@Coiler - a lot of people got into stern. About 5 in this thread, and i know 3 friends who got in.

SEE YOU STERNIES NEXT FALL! (if i get rejected from columbia, that is.)

Accepted to NYU today

So I think if your transfer credits show up, you have a really, really good chance at getting in.

Anyway, you guys gotta convince me to go to NYU over USC.

I submitted my app mid-January and its supposedly been complete for months, and I haven’t heard a thing, no transfer credits or anything. With all of these acceptances/rejections I’m starting to get worried that my app isn’t complete and they just aren’t getting in touch with me. I called admissions a few days ago and they gave me the typical “don’t call us, we’ll call you” answer. Is there anything you guys think I should do?

@gooberfish1

My transfer credits just got posted today. I’m transferring from a California CC and my GPA is 3.9. I applied for the applied psychology program.

I think I saw a few posts here from people who have gotten in, but I haven’t seen too many acceptances/rejections from Steinhardt.

@tithegirl - what r ur stats

GUYS I AM SO NERVOUS! I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING AND MY TRANSFER CREDITS ARE NOT POSTED!!!

accepted to stern, able to see my transfer credit before receiving my decision by mail on Monday, good luck everyone!

@funky

still waiting. they messed up my app and have been making me call over and over again. very frustrating.

@alfilm

omg, i know what you mean. i didn’t have some of my transfer credits show up so i called the number they said. girl transferred me to an alternate admissions office, who transferred me to a registrar office, who transferred to me to a supervisor, who transferred me back to the original admissions office (at which point i had to go to work and couldn’t talk). lol fail

haha whoever’s working these phones don’t know much. i called about using an unofficial copy of a transcript for my app review since they never got the original that was mailed and i was transferred to 4 different people. the last lady i talked to (don’t even know what her job title was) was really surprised i was transferred all the way to her for such a simple question

@kiddcao
Congratulation~
What’s your statistics?

@srivera617

Transferring from: California Community College
Applied to: Steinhardt, applied psychology
College GPA: 3.9
HS GPA: 3.7
EC’s: Ambassador of the GSA, President of Drama Club, lots of hours in theatre. As well as being a student worker.

My transfer credits were posted this morning, but no email yet.

I’m assuming nobody heard back at all today?

like could NYU admissions be any slower? I don’t understand why we mailed our apps in April if their just reviewing them now. Come on film/t.v. figure it out!!!

Are there people out here who like me submitted on time, haven’t had any problems with your applications (re-sending, etc), and still haven’t heard back from NYU? I feel like most people left are people whose applications had a mistake in them or who needed something else.

Mine was complete, but I got an email saying it wasn’t. They admissions office said everything was fine when I called, so I think we’re in the same boat. Still just waiting for a decision…
