<p>@oldwumpusale I only received one email from NYU since submitting my application and that was to tell me that they were reviewing it. I haven’t heard anything since then and am still waiting for my decision. I applied to Tisch Film and TV…So frustrating! :/</p>

<p>@safetosay I am not saying that I think it is taking too long. I’m saying that it is frustrating to wait especially seeing that I have no idea when they will give us their decisions because unlike applying to colleges as a high school senior, we don’t get specific decision dates.</p>

<p>Also whenever I call NYU admissions I have to deal with rude staff. All they say is that admissions decisions are ‘rolling’. Ok. But what the fucx does ‘rolling’ mean? Are they sending them out by alphabetical order? or by application date? or possibly acceptances then rejections? i don’t know. This admissions counsellor claimed that Tisch was still reviewing portfolio’s, that is why it is taking soo long. But how is that possible? They must have already reviewed every single applicants portfolio before sending out any decisions. I know several people who have already been accepted to tisch for film/t.v. soo something fucxy is going down behind the scenes. To all tisch applicants: we should get to the bottom of this!</p>

<p>I had a dream that I was accepted!.. and then woke up. DAMN IT! I am going to murder someone now if I don’t get accepted. That dream was just cruel. lol</p>
<p>@Vihzel- I keep having acceptance dreams too! They’re really realistic too, so when I wake up I’m all confused about whether I was really accepted or not! I need a decision soon before I go totally crazy.</p>

<p>i think the majority of college applicants understand that rolling decisions means they make a decision based on when they receive your application. therefore people have been accepted because their application was reviewed and easily accepted right away. so it is very possible that people have been accepted and some applications still have not even been reviewed.</p>
<p>if you applied extremely early it could mean that your app wasn’t strong and they shuffled you back to the bottom, but still good enough that they did not completely reject you
it could mean something has just delayed your application
or that other applications were just a lot stronger, maybe earlier
freshmen admissions also factors into all of this because the staff was most likely extremely busy with dealing with them.</p>
<p>a lot of things can slow down the process, and it isnt even may 15th yet, so we still have not hit the mid-may deadline they hinted at.</p>
<p>i imagine people who have not heard a response are in some trouble, but there is still a good chance for all of us.</p>

<p>not trying to ■■■■■; sorry if it came off that way. I found out less than an hour ago (duke). until then had been anxiously waiting to hear back from NYU.</p>
<p>whoever said that they think whoever is left are people who had mistakes that is clearly wrong. as i said, i not only submitted my application on time, but i received an email from the assistant director of undergrad admissions saying my app was complete and i should here the second week of may.</p>

<p>well since a lot of people have been accepted already, if a lot confirm, then there are less spots for the rest of us.</p>
<p>however a lot will not choose nyu, so we’re still good
and they still have plenty of spots for those of us who are competitive</p>
<p>and its just troublesome from the beginning to not have an acceptance letter :(</p>
