@Vihzel Congrats, that dream of yours must have come true! Did your credits ever show up?

The Paul McGhee Division uses their own application system and not Albert. I had no way to see if I had any transfer credits and I still have no clue how many credits are going to transfer.

I was crying and laughing uncontrollably when I saw “Congratulations!” That’s all I needed. lol

@Vihzel Oh ok! Well congrats again! :)

Thank you very much mspivey2. I wish you all the absolute best. I perfectly understand what you are all going through as I have had my moments of insanity and many sleepless nights. Trust me… that acceptance will be that much sweeter.

grats, vihzel!

cool. I just sent in a deposit to northeastern and they are already out of housing for the fall…Thanks NYU

Isn’t NYU also out of housing?

Idk…someone said that they called and the housing department said all transfers were guaranteed housing. Not sure if that’s true though.

I really doubt NYU is out of housing, they practically own every building in Manhattan. But who knows.

so uh, can transfers get waitlisted? i actually wouldn’t mind the waitlist. decent odds are better than a flat out rejection.

@thegreatperhaps

Uh…I highly doubt that…

Congrats, Vihzel!

Haha, I admit, I’m still stalking this thread even though I’ve already been admitted. I’m interested in seeing who else will be getting in I wish the rest of you guys the best of luck.

Can someone help me figure out some stuff with financial aid?

I got my package online and it looks like they want me to loan out 41,000 per semester. If I accept their financial aid package, I’m just accepting they’re scholarship, right? And then my other scholarships take effect and lower the loan?

And they have a figure for my estimated TAP award, but would I just be using my TAP from my other school? Does it change from school to school? And is there any parent contribution? I’m pretty lost. hahaha

okletsdoit555- I was just asking someone about this today… I’d be happy if they had a waitlist. I agree that it’s better than getting flat-out rejected! I’m hoping they do, because I know quite a few people who aren’t going because the FA is too low.

@kmgphoto

What do you doubt? It’s a known fact NYU buys buildings often just to turn them into dorms.

And that was obviously an exaggeration.

@moxiemaya

They do have a waiting list.

I heard last year they admitted too many freshmen with guaranteed housing and had to rent out some buildings for them until they could get them permanent placements.

vihzel do you think paul mhgee doesnt do albert or all of SCPS? did you receive it by email?

do u think that people who didnt get emails or transfer credits posted yet still have a chance?

The rest of SCPS uses Albert but not the Paul McGhee Division. So far I haven’t had to deal with Albert; I don’t even know if I have a pin or not. I think you definitely still have a chance even though your credits haven’t shown up yet. I know this is cliche… but don’t give up hope.
