yo stern transfers please post your stats http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1036986-nyu-2011-transfer-decisions.html
its very important for future stern transfer students…also please post the classes taken or being taken right now…thank you

^ as in what all classes you took your freshmen and sophomore years

i think some people with no credits shown still have a chance. obviously SOME of them have to.

however, im becoming very doubtful about it. starting to feel pretty heartbroken
maybe next week.

also, i heard some transfer students get admitted, but must study abroad the first semester due to lack of housing
I WOULD LOVE THAT

maybe they need to determine housing first before they can admit more people, and then they will do that

Transfer credits just showed up, crossing my fingers!

just called to speak to the admissions counselors and the student ambassador told me they are all at a big meeting…Hopefully they are deciding who they are going to admit for transfers!

The admissions process will probably continue even through the last week of May so I’m sure the transfer credits haven’t shown up for a lot of people because it’s not their time yet.

Don’t feel heartbroken! Honestly, if they haven’t rejected you yet, I feel like you’re probably in the “maybe” pile.

got rejected from wesleyan today, which isnt to insulting since the acceptance rate was 5% this year for transfer, looks like ill definitely be going to nyu in the fall yo. Still waiting on hopkins though, but I luvvvv nyu :)

This wait has made me indifferent to the whole situation.

have any TISCH PHOTO applicants heard back yet? are there any tisch photo applicants even on this thang? ? ? ?

I’ve been lurking this thread for a bit, but I figured I might as well announce my status for those who wonder about the whole transfer credits appearing thing. So I got accepted into Steinhardt Music Business today. My transfer credits did NOT appear beforehand and still hasn’t appeared yet in Albert.

Thanks for the info about the transfer credits! I have been checking that obsessively the last couple of days. I guess the thing to keep in mind, is that each program is different and each move at a different pace, so nobody should really read into anything until they get their decision. I too am a Steinhardt applicant, but I am MCC, which seems to be slow out of the gates.

I applied for MCC as well and I don’t believe that I have seen anyone get a decision for that program yet.

Hahaha guys please don’t transfer to NYU. It’s way overpriced, and I’m in the process of transferring out. Really, don’t go unless you’re rich or get a good amount in scholarship/aid.

@egshef Thank you for your caring about us, but I think most applicants are already aware of the price situation. It’s New York City, what do you expect? Everything here is expensive. You’ve got either Columbia or NYU as the only top ranked school choices in the nation that happen to be directly in NYC. Sure, you can transfer to a undergraduate university of lesser reputation just to be in NYC, but then, is that really worth it?

You don’t happen to be waitlisted at NYU now, are you? ;)

@crw379 @benellis

I’m starting to think we’re the last ones to hear… :(

you guys are right! lets stay positive! we have until the end of may… who knows it could go even longer! that kind of sucks, but hey, i’d wait until the day before classes if there is still a chance of me getting in!

and if nyu decides im not right for them, i have fordham, cornell, or UMD for free!
and then in 2 years ill move to nyc :)

plus, slickguy really helped. some of us WILL get accepted without transfer credits showing up on time! especially now that they are crunching down, maybe they won’t even have a lot of time to manually enter those in before they have to send the emails out!

okay. just trying to send good vibes!!!

@thegreatperhaps –> I am still waiting to hear from NYU… I currently haven’t had any kind of notification whatsoever. The wait is awful.

@enve520 –> Congrats on Cornell, by the way.

bunch of my friends were accepted this morning. But surprisingly, the thread doesnt seem that active

i have been religiously checking my email for updates on my transfer application to nyu which led to me googling about nyu transfer applicants and i found this wonderful forum. thank goodness there are people waiting as long as me! damn nyu, why do they have to be so late for the response!
