ik i got no responses either!

@londonkim

what school did they apply to? i feel the majority of acceptances/rejections have been from stern

@lauren229

thanks!! but nyu is my dreammmm/ cornell is in the middleofnowhere

I sent an email asking about my application status. Perhaps that will expedite a decision!

@enve520 -ALL stern.

I wanna be sad that I didn’t get in, but I’m not. Maybe paying so much wasn’t going to be beneficial. I thinking I’m deciding on Fordham.

Good luck to all that are still waiting!

And congrats to those who have got accepted.

At least you’ll still be in Manhattan. :)

indeed, now the hunt for an apartment begins…

@Lauren229

Did you also apply for Steinhardt MCC? I feel like no one has heard back from them yet >:|

@reneyney doesnt fordham cost about the same? or did you get finaid?

fordham is great, and in a few years all these nyc schools are going to be SO hard to get into… be happy :)

@londonkim, wow congrats to you and everyone you know who got into stern haha, but yeah i think stern was definitely on top of their admissions this year

c’mon other nyu schools! its friday… so either something good happens today or we wait out another weekend

So I see a lot of notifications for stern… What about college or arts and sciences? Has anyone heard back yet?

@reneyney: Would you like to room with me at The Towers please? I’m putting in my application, so I would prefer to find my own roommates rather than it be left up to someone else.

NYU’s tuition is actually cheaper than most top colleges out there. It’s the cost of living in NYC that kills your wallet. I’m a native New Yorker so I can tell you that if you want to go to NYC, that’s just a sacrifice you’ll have to make. Don’t compare NYU to other NYC school costs – it’s all gonna end up being roughly the same.

19 days of May left, 6 of them are weekends.

13 Days of May in which NYU can still change our lives.

Have no Steinhardt MCC-ers really found out about NYU yet? Kind of nervewracking to know that your department has not released any decisions. Joy.

do you guys think NYU will make some decisions before the fall semester starts???
Like come on, at least let us know soon soo we can arrange our summer plans

Danny, technically they said mid-late May would be the notification period. Some people are (luckily) receiving notification earlier. But, they did not guarantee an early notification. As annoying as it is, we can’t really call and get mad at them for evaluating our applications within the established time period.

I can definitely understand how you feel, my summer is still completely in flux. But, hey, they longer we don’t have any word the long we’re still not denied.

@Slickguy - i’m a NYC resident, and i totally disagree. Most private schools’ tuitions are from 30-40k. NYU, according to my financial package, costs 47k for tuition + meal plan + transportation fee. I think that’s EXTREMELY expensive…

47k? Without housing? Or is that with?

@moxiemaya: Without housing!

Well that isn’t a whole lot more than my school… Hofstra is just over 50k, but that includes housing as well.
The problem is I have a very large scholarship here (38,000 with no loans), so convincing my dad to pay more if I get into NYU is going to be difficult. I guess it’s really a problem anywhere. Transfer students just don’t get much aid.

no emails today?
