Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

@srivera617

yes, my transfer credits were posted Wednesday morning.

@bellatheball –> I applied to CAS and I haven’t heard anything yet either.

applied to cas, still no sign of anything! hopefully this is the week! my birthday is may 20, so itd be the perfect birthday present to be accepted… therefore i should get in.

:)

^good to see there are other people who haven’t heard anything, I think I’ll try to get a hold of an admissions counselor on Monday.

What are you guys saying when you call the admissions counselors? I have called multiple times just to check to make sure my application is ready for review but I never know what else to say because I don’t want to annoy them…

GlobalStudies, haha I was like that at first . Now every time I call, as soon as they pick up I say “Can I transfer to an admissions counselor please?”. I haven’t been asked why yet, and as long as you’re firm with it they shouldn’t ask why.

Anyway, my birthday today was so much sweeter because of the acceptances this week. Makes a bad year a bit better.

@moxiemaya

Not having credits show up doesn’t mean rejection either. I was admitted and my credits still haven’t shown up in Albert.

@slickguy - Really? Well that’s good. I guess as more decisions come out we’ll be able to see if this transfer credit/acceptance correlation is really true. Which school did you apply to?

Yeah, it looks as if your credits shows up then it means acceptance. For me, on the page at the top it says:

"Please click the link below for additional information regarding your transfer credits. This information will explain in further detail how credits were applied to your degree, and outline your next steps for ensuring that we have all appropriate information to finalize your matriculation. Should you have additional questions after reviewing this information, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 212-998-4500. "

Then there’s a link that says “Transfer Credit Information” and it leads here: [Admitted Student Transfer Credits](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

I haven’t gotten an email with a decision yet, but I think if your credits show up then it’s a good sign just based off of that paragraph that’s on the page. Unless they’re trying to torture me, lol.

If they don’t show up then it just means a bit longer of a wait. I’m sure that some are going to get their acceptance letters without their credits showing up b/c NYU could be behind or something. Looks like that’s the case w/ slickguy.

But I’m pulling for everyone on this board to get in. So keep up your hope you guys!

@Marbas- mine says what yours does, but does yours show your transfer credits for fall and spring or just fall? Mine only shows fall…

@morgv1234 - I know your question wasn’t directed at me, but are you applying for sophomore entry? I don’t think they show spring credit unless you’ve already finished those classes and sent in your final transcript.

@caligulashorse-yeah I am applying for sophomore entry. but supposedly they have my final transcript because I called and they said they have all my materials…but maybe not?

Hey guys

I just logged into Albert and when I try to click on “Application Status” or “Transfer Credit,” it takes me to a page that says “Your User ID and/or Password are invalid.”

My status page has always been blank, and same with my transfer page. I have not received any notification of rejection or acceptance.

This has never happened to me before, and I was wondering if anybody could give some insight.

@ lord jim

I just tried logging in too, and the same thing happened to me. .___.;;

^^^ same… im gonna cry…

EXCEPT:

i am doing nyu summer abroad, and I need to use albert in order to pay and register for my classes. so technically, i should be able to log onto albert even if i were rejected to NYU as a degree candidate…

so maybe its just a glitch, and they are doing work on updating all our statuses or something

OH GOSH I HOPE

;A;

alsdkjflaksjdflkjaslkdfjlakjsdlfkjalskdjf!!

I hope so too.

Yeah, it is a Sunday after all. Let’s just hope they’re updating the system or something.

if you can still log on albert, anyone, let us knowwwww!

I also cannot login. I was getting this screen about two weeks ago so I talked to an IT guy who told me to reset safari and clear cache, etc. That worked a few weeks ago for me but this time around it’s not working and it’s also happening to other people. Hopefully they are updating the system… is this happening to anyone who has their transfer credits showing up?

Really hoping this isn’t our accounts going dead due to a rejection.

I really, really hope it isn’t a rejection.
