Thank you! I think all of us deserve it in some way or another but it’s my dream school–the only place I’ve honestly ever truly wanted to attend.

@thegreatperhaps WOW. Killer stats & I’m glad you got in!

@benellis call today after 3 or tomorrow morning. Erin is the Steinhardt Undergrad admissions assistant dean (I believe) it may be best to ask to speak with her rather than going around to everyone.

@desimundha, Thank you!!
Good luck to everyone still waiting on MCC (it’s been a strenuous journey to say the least) and hopefully we’ll meet in NYC!

anyone else still waiting on Tisch?

So I just called admissions and they told me there a decision has not been made on my application. You have got to be kidding me. The deadline is June 1st and now they are saying that I’ll hear by the end of the week. This is ridiculous.

MCC people: i got my decision today. rejected. good luck  ima go slit my wrists now. just kidding.

@gooberfish1 Did you get an email? Thanks for posting here btw, it’s helpful to people who are still waiting.

For anyone that has been accepted, how long does it generally take to see financial aid/credits?

I GOT IN!!!I didn’t get an email so I called and asked them b/c I had to send deposit. The lady was super nice :D

I just called and said that I had to send a deposit to another school, and the woman I spoke with just said that I’ll hear by the end of the week (she didn’t look up my application). I’ll try calling after three, maybe.

@benellis do you know with whom you spoke? Admissions counselor? I definitely think you should try calling after 3 & ask for Erin. (Steinhardt). She’s higher up & should definitely know more.

I just asked to speak with an Admissions counselor, but I’ll ask for Erin if I call later.

So I got accepted as a sophomore transfer to stern. Is there anyone else in the same situation?

Accepted to CAS! :D

Still havent heard anything. I guess I’ll be last to find out.

I’m really just curious, I got into my first choice but NYU was my goal and I want to know if I achieved that.

Called Erin from Steinhardt and left a message. I’ll try calling again tomorrow. :/

I was just accepted to NYU. I was just accepted to NYU? I WAS JUST ACCEPTED TO NYU–STEINHARDT/MCC?!

HOLY WOW.

Sorry to sound so obnoxious but this is something I’ve dreamed of for what very well may be half my life!

@benellis good luck! Office opens at nine & closes at 5. Decisions will definitely be out by Thursday. Try calling her tomorrow afternoon around 3, I had to go back & forth today but she was very nice about everything.

Im not going to bother with calling and trying to fanoodle a response from them. Ive waited this long, I can wait another 36 hours.

@desimundha, that was my exact reaction, lol. Congrats!
I sent my deposit already, so I’m just waiting for credits to show up and financial aid to show… I’m not expecting much. I’m living off-campus so the housing thing won’t be an issue.

Accepted, MCC! Still in shock to be honest, I had conceded rejection. This was my first choice, and I am delighted! Congratulations to those who made it. Best wishes to those who didn’t, I understand it must be tough, but stay determined to do great things. And, good luck to those STILL waiting, you don’t have long now, so hang in there!

P.S. my stats are on the decisions thread

I GOT IN!
For MCC through the “CCTOP” program for community college students. The director of the program emailed me first so I haven’t received the email everyone else got.
My stats are iffy
3.5 gpa
writer for newspaper, djayed for college radio/ 22 hour job for nursing home
maybe i got accepted for my essay, I put ALOT of work into that and I never read my teacher recommendation, but perhaps it was good?

For other CC kids looking to transfer I HIGHLY recommend the CCTOP process, It makes it much easier to transfer, that is of course if your program is listed.
