I applied to Gallatin, right now I have a 3.66 GPA

@oldwumpusale - I applied on the deadline, and it says April 4th on my Albert.

Hi, guys, is there anyone whose Albert still says nothing on Transfer Credits?

mine says nothing on it …

plus, do you guys think NYU decisions would be available from tomorrow?

@marr85 - Well, they did say they would start from May 1st, so I would think that a few people will hear back tomorrow. My Albert doesn’t say any transfer credits either.

By the way, people who got their decisions, what time did you recieve the e-mails?

my application is complete ( all checked) but nothing on transfer credit page!

hopefully we hear back tmrw I want this college process over with

@marrs85 –> I don’t have any information regarding the transfer of credits on my Albert either.

@oldwumpusale –> I applied on the first of April and it was received by the school on the 6th according to Albert.

@Kobain51 –> I originally applied as a freshman and gained acceptance because of my extra curricular activities, including an internship… NYU weights grades heavily but what you do outside of the classroom may be the “saving grace” and garner you an acceptance letter/e-mail

Ugh, I want to know if I have been accepted already (And I want it to be a yes!)…

@giantmidget

On a UPenn transfer thread, one person learned of their acceptance to NYU through e-mail on Friday. :/

i think some people got in Thursday around 2pm

@ellomeno

Theres only one marked complete(college transcript) out of three(HS transcript, college transcript, test scores)

I didn’t worry about this because other people said that I don’t need to worry as long as I don’t receive any emails regarding to missing materials from NYU.

Am I standing wrong place?

@marrs85

In earlier posts, some applicants were saying that they decided to call and speak to someone in admissions (who was NOT a student ambassador), and eventually found out that NYU lost some of their information (check around page 40-60 or so of this thread) even though they never received an e-mail regarding the missing paperwork…

Best option would be to call and speak to an actual admissions person and not a student. In an earlier post a name was given of who to ask for and who would take care of your problem that day/ as swiftly as possible… I’ll look for this person’s name.

hey guys… first time on the nyu thread… but I was accepted this past tuesday via email… got the package yesterday… but I will be turning it down so gl to everyone here!

@transfer9858

Which school were you accepted to?

@transfer9858

Even though you won’t be attending, congratulations nonetheless.

How was your GPA/SAT (if you don’t mind)?

thank you… i was accepted to arts and sciences… my sat was 2110 and my gpa was a 3.8 from a top 50 school… hang in there i know the waiting is a killer… im still waiting on like 6 schools

@transfer9858

Well, again, congratulations and good luck with your other applications!

@transfer9858
May I ask why you decided against NYU?

sure well for me it was a number of reasons… 1 i live in nyc so I wanted to get away and experience college in a new place… 2 i wanted a campus feel… nyu has no campus what so ever… i think its an amazing experience for people who dont live in major cities and really want to explore nyc… as it is amazing… 3 its a fortune haha im sure everyone here is thinking about that 4 i got into cornell which i feel is a much better fit than nyu for me and im really excited to go there if i dont get in any where else… where else are you and everyone here applying?

I applied to Rutgers, Drexel, UPenn, NYU –> all of these universities were chosen because of their location (within 2.5 hours or less from my house). I’m not necessarily concerned with how top notch the university is where my undergrad education takes place simply because I have so many years of graduate school ahead of me. Though, I would like to be reaccepted to NYU and go there. Also, I am not too concerned about being on a campus or not. I’ve never been the biggest fan of sprawling greenery as I grew up next to the ocean.

haha ya i hear that… i also applied to penn… its my top choice, well of the somewhat realistic schools… stanford, yale, lottery tickets… but penn i would love and dying to go… wats ur top choice?

@transfer9858 - did you get into the arts and science college in Cornell? If you did, me too! It’s funny how i live in NY as well, but would prefer NYU over Cornell. Probably because I’m pursuing a career path in Finance. CONGRATSSS!!
