Penn. Then NYU. Realistically, Penn would probably be best for my grad schooling, but I couldn’t help but apply in the meantime. Besides, I absolutely love Philly. It is nice that I have a few friends that go to Penn too, but I truly doubt I’ll get in this time around.

What are you going to grad school for? I plan in going for a jd/mba after college… i still dont no if its worth it to stay at my easier college… get a 3.9, have tons of time to study for lsat and gmat, and have time to really do cool ecs to differentiate myself from applicants… or go to a really good school and kill myself prob for a 3.6 gpa since im not the smartest kid… idk…

@londonkim

sorry if you already said this but have you been admitted to stern?

@Shake147 - No one from Stern has received admission decisions. Yet. =)

Nope, not yet. Hopefully, we will get them tomorrow!

sorry guess my anxiety about NYU and delirium from finals studying is getting to me :P

does anyone know if fall transfer is more competitive than spring?

@physisnomoi

I found this as an old thread (4 years ago). I don’t know if it is still relevant, buuuuut…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/366839-spring-fall-relative-transfer-sucess-nyu.html

It says that normally, it is easier to be accepted to cas in the spring.

A couple of my documents still show up as missing… what should I do?

@safetosay

Call them tomorrow morning and talk to an advisor not a student… tell them what albert is saying, that you didn’t receive an e-mail about missing documents and they will let you know what you can do.

@Lauren

Interesting… my friend actually transferred into nyu cas last spring. If I don’t get in for the upcoming fall idk if I should just pick out a school I got into or tough it out for another half year and reapply for spring admission. Decisions decisions…

Btw what major are you applying for?

talked to someone in the office and he transferred me to another person but then the person hung up the phone… weird

I know this may sound a little stupid or knit picky but people who already got emails what time zone do you live in?

@physisnomoi –> I am going for Politics; A pretty common major according to this thread as a lot of people have applied for that program :/… How about you?

@Marrs85 –> This too happened to a lot of people calling the Admissions Office according to this thread. I would continue to try until you eventually get through.

I just got am email from NYU about missing transcrpts. I know I send in the high school and the college transcript to NYU. They said they could have it around somewhere and haven’t gotten to it yet. I didn’t mess up that part. Is that a good sign though, if they need my trancript?

What is the best way to handle this situation. I applied to Stern.

Well… just got an email saying my application is incomplete! I called and the counselor said my file is complete… what a relief. But when will I find out if I was accepted or not? Le sigh…
PS. I’m new here, but I’ve been reading this thread for a while now in hopes to calm my anxiety a bit. It hasn’t worked, but you guys are an impressive bunch!

can log on to nyu but previously available email link is gone. Anyone else have this problem?

You guys are not alone. I received an e-mail from NYU extremely excited until I realized the title said application incomplete. I freaked out. I made sure that both my college and HS transcripts were sent out. I was a bit apprehensive because I had spoken with an admissions counselor last week who had high spirits about my application. However, I realize mistakes can be made so I just called my HS counselor who faxed it right away to the admissions counselor. She put a note on my file and ensured the latest I’d hear back is May 15th (which sucks, but is better than nothing even though I was looking forward to hearing back today)

In terms of whether it’s a good thing that they send out an e-mail for missing parts, it’s not necessarily because they’re asking us to send it because they’re interested in accepting us. It’s an automated e-mail to let us know that we’re missing files that we need to get to them upon review. Regardless, I hope that our applications can be reviewed quickly in a well organized manner, and we can hear back soon. I’m very very nervous.

@HPTransfer- How did you know which transcript to send (college/high school)? On your Albert page did it tell you specifically which transcript was missing?

@moxiemaya - Unfortunately no, Albert is very unreliable in terms of being consistent and showing what is complete and incomplete. For months mine has just been a box saying when I submitted my app and that I’m coming from a 4 year institution. Call the admissions office and ask to speak with an admissions officer. The student ambassadors aren’t very reliable!
