@coolio: That’s pretty funny! Are you still waiting?

I got an email stating that my transcript was missing. Because my Albert page tells me nothing about the specific documents received, I called the admissions office and was transferred to a admissions file clerk who told me my high school transcript is not missing and my application is complete. She was very rude though and had a I-don’t-want-to-help-you kind of tone.

I feel like NYU just sent out millions of those your application is incomplete emails without checking to see if they were missing or not.

The application file clerk told me decisions will come out mid may to late may.

I applied to Stern by the way.

Mid to late May?!

When I asked they said either this week or next week…

I applied to Stern too… i was so funny… i just called a week ago… and the counselor told me my HS transcript was missing… although I felt it was weird cuz I sent out in one pack… I still sent out my HS transcript again by fedex overnight… 25$!! it arrived there the next day!! i can see from the tracking process!! anyway… and today… i got this email saying they r still missing my HS transcript… isnt it funny?!! i dont understand!!! rawrr…

I’m close to 100% that the automated message that people got were sent to anyone whose albert said their applications were incomplete (which was pretty much everybody)

NYU emailed me on 4/6 that they were missing info, and I sent it in. No word CAS. Accepted into Fordham and Sarah Lawrence.

This is such BS… my Albert doesn’t say ANYTHING so I don’t even know what i’m missing. NYU is so disorganized and inadequate… WOW, really makes me think of NYU in a more negative light

@londonkim
i totally agree with you… i was really interested in NYU before… now not only the missing material thing… but also the student assistants… who seemed sooo arrogant and stupid… make me feel NYU is sooooo not appropriate… i dont know what to expect from the school then,

Coolio - I was recently accepted to fordham lincoln center… I received an acceptance email about last week. However since I applied to LC and there is limited housing I was not offered housing at this moment and have been put on a waiting list for housing for tranfers. I have been told I will find out after may 16th. Even though it is bitter sweet right now, I am very excited I was accepted and hopefully u hear soon. Just keep calling.

And as far as this NYU decision… I emailed an admissions counselor for the Preston school of hospitality asking when I would hear since I have other deadlines. I just received an email from Kervin Pillot - assistant director of undergrad admissions and he told me that they have all my materials and my decision will be released the second week of may. Hopefully this is a good thing.

aweoirawe;rawerawer

So I just called Fordham, and after like 4 different call transfers, I finally talked to someone who said that my application was incomplete. This means that none of the schools got my college transcript when I asked it to be sent out (sent out 3, each cost 4 bucks a pop). This is beyond ridiculous. I’m so ****ed off at my school though.

Anyone else JUST receive an email saying that their application is incomplete? Apparently they did not receive my high school transcript, which I sent back in February…
I called to double check, and they told me to send another one as soon as possible. Now I have to go back to my high school to order another transcript.
I can’t believe I’m getting this notification email so late. I probably don’t even have a chance of getting in now.

So i just got off the phone with an admissions counselor who told me that they were missing my high school transcript…but that they received my high school activities sheet(which were sent together)…AND I called three weeks ago and they told me I had everything. This is so frustrating…I guess I wont be hearing back for a while. NYU NEEDS a better system because this is getting ridiculous.

I also just received an email asking for my high school transcript. I know they have it because I physically put it in the mail myself. I go to college in another state and getting one transcript from my HS was an ordeal. I don’t have another “official” transcript to send them. Do you think they would accept a fax from my college without my counselors signature on it? Also they have me listed as transferring from a 2yr college, but I attend a 4 year university…does it say this for everyone?

Sabinabeing- Can you just call your high school counselor and explain to them what is going on and have someone send over a copy? And I think you should call someone in admissions about the fact that it says you are coming from a 2-year college…mine says 4-year, which is how it should be

Yeah, I got an e-mail too. My high school transcript still isn’t checked off, but they have the correct high school name uploaded anyway (whereas it wasn’t before). I really don’t trust Albert.

So it seems like the majority are still not receiving decision letters.
I wonder when they will start getting sent out?

@kayf When did you hear from SLC? I thought the decision date was 5/15.

@Spiffy - I was told mid-May by a counselor.

Heh, I love how I applied to schools that rival or even eclipse NYU in size, and while some of them lost transcripts, they haven’t had nearly as much trouble or rampant disorganization overall. I wonder what the staffing situation is like in the admissions office–do they even have enough people doing this?

Dsmith, 4/15, and they completed review of transfer credits at that time.

I am not even certain I would go to NYU. The MAP “gen ed” requirements are so unique, I could end up taking 5 years (in total) to graduate. Have you looked at that?

@kayf: When did you hear from SLC? I never received a confirmation email about my app, so I had to call a week ago and they told me it was under review.
