Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

@oldwumpusale –> that seems to make sense.

Another topic but still a question: Did every accepted transfer student thus far send in a midterm report?

kayf - what fordham campus and did u get housing?

and kevin what r ur stats

LC and I did not ask for housing.

Kevin, how many college credits do you have? Are you applying for Soph or Junior?

@Lauren

That’s cool you got in for freshman admission, why didn’t you go directly out of high school?

I thought everyone has to turn in midterm report

@physusnomoi –> The cost of the additional two years of undergrad education when they were essentially just gen. ed. requirements. It didn’t make much sense financially at the time as I was denied aid :/.

Also, my best friend’s sister had just transferred out of NYU because of the stress of the city and awful roommates. And at the time, I probably wasn’t ready to move into the world’s largest cosmopolitan, so all I can do now is hope that I am still up to par.

How many ppl receive NYU email regarding missing transcripts today?

I received the email telling me the transcripts missing, but when I checked out the Albert, I duno what transcripts missing!

liang, they told me the only thing I was missing was my college transcript, which I know was sent in, but I sent them another. Within a week, Albert updated it.

Kayf: i was talkin about midterm~ I saw early post saying if NYU asks from midterm report then it is a good sign… so i am confused coz I thought midterm grade report is required.

I called twice today because I was one of the people that received that email. The first lady was quite rude and very quickly told me that everything was there, but I felt that she didn’t really check. The second lady was much nicer, double checked to make sure my name matched my ID number, and told me everything was there. She also said that nearly ever applicant received that email and it was a glitch on their end. If you got the email, I strongly suggest you call the office to make sure all items are there. It was probably a mistake, but it doesn’t hurt to make sure!

liang, they told me my app was complete and I didnt do midterm. I am taking finals this week and will have grades in a week.

thanks you!

I never received the email…?

I never received an email either. I called about a week ago and the admission counselor told me my application is complete so I’m not sweating it.

More worried/mad about these MAP courses.

Has anyone not been able to log onto NYUHome since early today?

@transfer4444

I just was able to log in and out of NYU Home and Albert.
