<p>NYU is SLACKIN!</p>
<p>Hey everyone, new to this. So i was anticipating the long awaited email from NYU. and this morning i checked my email and had one from NYU. my reaction… O_O … however, until now, the email was indicated to notify that my college transcripts had been lost in the process and they need it again. *** aklskdjfkl;ajsdfkl;asdjfl; asdkfjlaksdfjakl;sfjalsdkfj! booo now i have to wait loooonnnnngggerrrrrr</p>

<p>How long will your school take to mail out the transcripts this time around? Could you pick up the transcripts when they are complete and mail (either snail mail, fax, fedex, etc) them yourself? (I did this with my HS transcripts – I picked them up and mailed them out on my own)</p>
<p>@coolio when i spoke to a student ambassador today regarding my transcripts, i was mad because sending out official transcripts would have taken another 254654 years, so he said unofficial were fine but to have a counselor/advisor signature, department stamp, and to indicate that sending official transcripts would have been to long and to fax it to the undergrad office from your school. nonetheless i didnt need to pay another 10 bucks to send a damn piece of paper.</p>
<p>@Lauren, reneyney, I talked to a admissions counselor and they said I could email a copy of them. Thankfully I had a scan of my transcript on my computer so I sent that, but I didn’t relieve a confirmation yet. Then I remembered that I had a copy of my transcript myself, so I am gonna send that tomorrow. I put in a piece of paper saying it was my college transcript too, just so they know. Hopefully it goes through fine.</p>
<p>And reneyney, I know what you mean. I’ve spend a lot of money on my (thankfully cheap) 4 dollar college transcripts. It’s obnoxious though.</p>
<p>after sending the e-mail about the missing transcripts massive crisis, all my items appeared checked on my Albert page … =)</p>

My official transcript (in spanish) costs $35 dlls
Official Transcript (in english) $50 dlls
plus FEDEX $40 dlls … </p>
<p>thank God an official copy for each transcript is 3 dlls… so I just paid the 85 dlls fee once and ordered 6 copies of each … </p>
<p>Oh! and same thing with my high school transcripts :(</p>
<p>Has anyone else not heard anything besides the application acknowledgment? :(</p>

just to keep you posted… I got my NYU package in the mail today so they are coming out about a week after your admitted, also I saw my financial aid package…not so good…may not be going…but I am thinking about taking out a personal loan (i honestly just feel like NYU Gallatin is where I was destined to be)… maybe some of you guys will hear by mail first then…i remember reading that in the threads for last year!</p>
<p>everything will be told by email. according to my email from the dean of admissions… he said my decision will be released next week.</p>

The fact that I could get the email at any point within the next week or two makes me very upset. Whyyyyyyy must they torture me like this!?! At least when you apply for colleges as a freshman they give you a specific date and stick to it!</p>

<p>@coolio2244242 - haha, I know what you mean. But seeing as how they’ve lost stuff that was actually sent in, I bet they’ll just figure they lost yours, too. I don’t think it’ll occur to them that it was your/your school’s fault.</p>
<p>You guys have to pay for your transcripts to be sent? That’s seriously a rip-off.</p>
<p>Yea, it’s 4 dollars for each transcript, whether we want them sent or just to keep ourselves. It’s so annoying.</p>
<p>So I received the same “incomplete” email everybody is talking about today. I call and find out that my hs transcript isn’t there even though, like a few others have stated, I sent everything in one big ol’ packet so it seems impossible that they could misplace a very obvious envelope from my hs that has the sticker “official xscript of ___ void if opened yada yada” on it. Anyway, I had my school fax one over today and sent an official one off in priority mail today so hopefully they’ll be able to review my app based on the unofficial one and not have to wait for the one in the mail.</p>

<p>according to what the you are missing transcripts email said, they will look through the copy in order to advance the process, but they do require that you send the original even it takes a while to arrive =) don’t worry</p>
<p>I’ve turned off the email function of my blackberry, and I’ve decided to check both CC and my inbox just once a day at 5pm, to stop myself from checking every hour or so.</p>
