<p>Got my fordham stuff today. Out of my 70+ units (w/o AP) only 55 transferred lol. I was expecting a full 60. No biggie i guess 
kinda excited of getting my first physical packet for this round if apps :)</p>
<p>So now I’ve got to get my Fall 2011 application in order… I’m so nervous and anxious.</p>
<p>jfkal;fjkads;f that means mine is probably in my mailbox! but my stupid brother has my mom’s car ALL week so i cant get the mail key from the car and thus i cannot get into the mailbox JKAL;DFJKAFL;AJ -_-</p>

<p>since they just got the last thing they needed for my application to be complete sometime between last monday and last friday (meaning some point last week or even this week i guess it was put in the ready to be reviewed pile) how long do you think it’ll take them to actually get to my application? i know it’s all speculation but my best guess would be end of this week if not into the first week of december since they are doing transfer apps and early decision right now. plus-i’m applying to steinhardt, so steinhardt would be the ones to review my app right? i haven’t seen anyone accepted into steinhardt yet so maybe they’re behind too. this is just me being a chronic worrier-i really want to go to NYU haha ;)</p>
<p>So I just called the admissions office and the woman told me the earliest I’d hear is the first week of December. And she also said she can’t give decisions over the phone, so I’m pretty sure they made a decision.</p>
<p>I had all my application materials into them by Nov 1st. They actually had everything except my letter of recommendation by early October but I’m not sure if that has any effect on the admission process since its the rolling basis? </p>
<p>I called NYU last week and the lady said she had all of my materials and then asked for my social security number cause I did not put that on my app. Ive been reading through the posts about the NET ID accounts. I was able to activate mine last night! Does that mean im in!?</p>

<p>Yeah, yorba, I think you’re in. I just called the ITS department and they said they didn’t have a number for me. I’m almost positive I was rejected. Good luck to the rest of you!</p>

<p>@sloan- Thanks! I am really excited. NYU was my number 1 choice. When did you submit all your documents? Since it is a rolling basis then maybe they just haven’t gotten to your app yet?</p>
<p>I received a big envelope in the mail. I find that kind of funny because I got an e-mail a few weeks ago saying that everything will be sent via e-mail. There may have been something up with my application because when I applied in the beginner of Sept., I never received a confirmation. I called admissions a month later and my name was never in their system. They had to search somewhere for it and thankfully found it! And then 2 weeks after that I got my confimation letter in the mail.
So who knows? I’ve heard of people receiving their acceptance/rejection letters in November and mid-December. But, I live 40 min from NYC (I’m on Long Island) so I bet that has something to do with it. It also depends on how many applicants there are in each school. Gallatin is the smallest so that could be another reason I heard back at this time.</p>

<p>I never got any emails from them but i called to verify that they had all my stuff and as of some point last week they said they did. maybe steinhardt just hasn’t gotten through all the apps/gotten to my app yet? That’s what i’m hoping-that link still doesn’t work for me but i feel like checking it jinxes me…<em>sigh</em> has anyone from steinhardt gotten in yet??</p>

<p>i got into CAS not steinhardt 
so i think maybe steinhardt is just behind on its stuff. I also think they get the most applicants since everyone thinks its the easiest school to get into.</p>
<p>For those who can get an netid and or received a decision… when did u guys submit ur app and when was it completed?</p>
<p>Submitted October 15th. Got a call from NYU on November 2nd that it was complete and was currently being reviewed. NetID worked on Tuesday November 15th, first time I tried it.</p>
<p>I AM SO EFFING FRUSTRATED! I called NYU and spoke to a Steinhardt admissions officer and she TOLD ME that Steinhardt took second semester freshmen and that it was one of the only schools at NYU that did. Well. I got an email today saying: “Thanks for your application to NYU and our program in Media, Culture and Communications. Unfortunately, NYU does not accept transfer applications from students currently in their first semester of college. Would you like me to change to your application for the Fall 2011 semester?”</p>
<p>***?! Don’t give me conflicting information! I’m really frustrated.</p>

Wth? Try calling them tomorrow. explain ur situation and try requesting that they make a decision after receiving ur 1st final grades… hope it works out!! dont lose hope yet :)</p>
