They are and they’re already pricey ($250+ for all three days together) and past the pre-sale. Armin is playing on Sunday again, though. I’m not, but I live in NJ so it isn’t a big deal for me… I am already in the midst of finalizing plans to go to zoo and gov’s ball.

No clue what Electric Zoo is =S

@coolio

Electronic/House/Trance Festival Concert over Labor Day weekend on Randall’s Island in the city. AKA: Best Thing Ever!

Haha ahhh. Sounds cool, but as of right now I have absolutely no money. =(

Its awesome when you have a group to go with. It is huge, but yeah, crazy expensive. Bonnaroo without the ability to pitch a tent and stay and with completely different music genres, haha

Ultra was THE SH1T!!! E-Zoo couldn’t be compared to ultra!

@LondonKim

DUDE! My friend and I wanted to go to that soooo badly! We just weren’t willing to skip our chem lab and spend 300+ on airfare each, then the tickets, then hotel (too expensive in the end)… A few years ago, my friend Jamie went for all expenses paid trip to Ultra… Worth it to be in a prog. house producer. I hate him for it, haha.

But Zoo is comparable. It is crazy! It is definitely the northeast version, and you have Pacha after parties every night… C’mon!

Hey does anyone know if your acceptance can be revoked? Because I’m not doing so well in two of my classes which I’ve devoted 43243274932 hours to and still managed to fail lol.

And has anyone else gotten into the nursing program?? C:

@xlauren8Dx,

still waiting to hear back too :)

Does anybody think we’ll hear back tomorrow, or only tuesdays and thursdays?

@lauren229

They can be revoked, although you shouldn’t be in trouble UNLESS you get lower than a C.

xlauren8Dx - do you mean fail as in “didn’t get an A,” or fail as in “got a D/F”?

Acceptance can be revoked, but the general rule of thumb is as long as you don’t get Cs and don’t dip below a 3.0, you’re okay. It varies from school to school, though, and I don’t actually know what NYU’s specific policy is.

on an old facebook thread regarding nyu and acceptances and rescinding acceptances:

“I just got off the phone with a counselor at CAS and she said we need to maintain an academic GPA close to what it was when applying. A’s and B’s and a few C’s are good…basically…as long as we graduate with respectable grades(no D’s).”

@spiffyspaceman- Good luck!!
@caligulashorse- I’m expecting a D in one course… I definitely wont go under a 3.0 though. I was actually hoping it wouldn’t affect my acceptance because NYU is actually my backup incase i do fail. If I get a D, and both the school I currently attend and NYU revoke my acceptance to their nursing program, Im ****ed gjgtjerljtrektjrelkt.

If it’s just one D and the rest of your grades are fine, I think you’ll be okay. I’d just let them know that you got that one grade and you had really, honestly tried as hard as you could. Obviously a D is no good, but if the rest of your grades are okay, I think it’s obvious you’re not slacking off and it’s just that one class that’s giving you trouble. I think they’re more concerned about the people who get poor grades in all of their classes.

Sorry xlauren8Dx, I got confused between you and other lauren in my previous post.

Today might be the day that will change the lives of many of us. I really hope to hear back from SCPS today!

I’m so excited and nervous! Part me wants that decision so badly, but I’m also worried it will distract me from finals. If it’s good, well I’ll be so elated that I’m out of this place that I won’t focus, and if it’s bad I’ll be so bleh about not getting in…
Hah oh well. Let’s hope for good news all around!

Omg. I really hope we get notified today, or at least this week! I’ve been constantly distracted, and I feel compelled to check this forum every few hours! Hahaha XD

My birthday next Saturday could be so much sweeter if I get at least one acceptance letter.
