Official PSAT Score Thread

what do you mean “disabilities” like whaT?

I agree Alex Martin. I’m also from Illinois and I agree with you, the cutoff is going from 216 to 218; maybe even 219 or 220 (but probably not). By the way, the high school grades in my school are remarkably similar. 05-cokeheads 06-overachievers 07-sluts 08-average

Well they are called SSD students (Services for Students with Disabilities). I believe in these cases they qualify as being disabled by having conditions like ADD/ADHD.

I don’t have any sources to back what I’m saying about prep schools having a disproportional amount of SSD students, but it’s what I’ve heard from a lot of people and kids that go to prep schools.

zxchen definitely goes to the Boston Latin school. My cousin was going to go there, but he moved.

Hah, interesting, 08 = the sluts here too!

general consensus says that every year the slut ratio increases.

And as the supply of sluts increases…prices FALL!!!

My school’s pretty competitive, but it’s definitely not on the same level as prep schools like Andover and Exeter. 60% of my school is Asian…

Haha, yeah the freshmen here are crazy. I even wrote a paper on why I thought kids were getting sluttier and sluttier.

05 is the jokester class, 06 is the weird artsy class, 07 is where did you get smart class, 08 is the HUGE slut class

05- Multimedia class
06-Extremely active smart class
07-Unactive in clubs, 08 consensus applies
08 and beyond: the general consensus applies…

At my school, 05 is the “smart” class…Well, sort of. 05 was the first class in my district where everyone got to take algebra 1 in 8th grade if they wanted, but after their class (starting with 06), the students had to have a high grade to get into algebra 1 in 8th grade…And most other courses at my high school are based on what was taken earlier. (Chemistry requires pre or co-requisite of algebra II, etc…)

Let’s talk about the PSAT

So does everyone think the scores are in now. According to EllenF, his kid got his scores and is homeschooled??

they will come in for many this week

My counselor told us right after we finished the PSAT that the scores usually come in the week of exams, and that’s when they pass them out. I can’t remember the day I got mine last year, but I know it was near the end of the semester. The week of exams (for me) is the week after this coming week. Maybe they’ll be early this year?..

Hey everybody, one thing you have to do tomorrow:

sorry, haven’t finish my message: you should find out your grade tomorrow, and post your grade, how many you miss, and what every you want to share at CC; so more people will get the idea of the curve

indeed, and be sure to note the day you took the test. (different curves)

was that jmarsh lying, or was he telling the truth

it’s hard to tell with these starwarskid type people lurking around.

No, he was telling the truth. Turkeybreath got his test back, too. The extremely harsh math curve sounds plausible condering how easy the math section was. The Class of 2006 is also supposed to be smarter and larger than any class in the last ten years so it figures there would be many more high scores this year.

Yeah, admissions next year are going to be intense.

Question: If you get a math fill-in wrong, it doesn’t count against you does it? I probably made that up, but it sounds familar…

I know I missed one of those, but I’m pretty confident about the rest.
