I thought i did MUCH better, yet a 210??? bleh…

my daughter went from 184 sophomore year to 218 this year, +34 points. So don’t give up hope.
NY 218
cr 76
m 65
w 77

85%, 178 :)

no 240s yet

hm… I think someone earlier on this thread did

73 CR, 70 M, 72 WR. Any chance for merit in NJ? (My report said I was in 99th percentile)

someone said that others in his school got 240s, but i don’t think anyone has posted that on here

236 … Woo! parties.

Hmm…

63/76/71 = 210

I live in Delaware, so I guess I’m screwed.

Or am I?

(It was 98%)

-GSR

P.S. how gay is that one off on the math equates to a 76?

I know three students at our school got 240’s. Two are juniors, one’s a sophomore. We also had several that were 230+ (one was a sophomore).

Is 215 in Illinois good enough for a National Merit semifinalist designation? I know the cutoff last year for Illinois was 216. However, that was unusually high and the highest in Illinois history due to generous curves on the PSAT. Do you think the cutoff score will go down because this year’s PSAT’s had unusually sharp curves on them?

66-CR
80-M
77-W
223-Total

I’m in New Jersey…any shot at semi? I got a 219 as a soph, but what ****es me off is I should be a soph this year (I missed the cutoff but they bumped me up). I didn’t do any prep whatsoever for the psat though, so I’m not complaining. My vocabulary is horrible, so I can definitely improve the CR.

Aiming at a 2300 sat

Does anyone know what the cutoff for New Jersey was last year?

I got a 200( 71 V, 64 M, 65 W)
Do you guys think it’s high enough for commended? My percentile is 96.
also is it high enough for national achievment?

yehh, i got a 194, 94%, which is alrite i guess considering i hadn’t practiced at all

67 Math
63 Writing Skills
64 Critical Reading

i guess my school isn’t very smart, the highest i heard from all 300 of us was a 215, kind of poor considering we’re in Massachusetts, but anyways, i guess its time for me to study up for the real sat

btw, when do most of you plan on taking the new one?

as a sophmore- 205,97th percentile
60 cr
65 writing
80 math (all i care about) so yay!!! lol

Did anyone else get a 240? Heh, sorry, I didn’t want to wade through all those pages (29 already!) just to find out! Perhaps someone will reply…

Oh, oops! Just now, I saw a post on this page about the 240s…hehe ^^

The cutoff for NJ has been around 221 for quite a few years now.

I know there are over 30 kids at my school with 222+ (cutoff for MA) on the PSAT and perhaps a few, at least 4 or 5, with 240s. I got a 224…yay!
