I checked it both ways, and the new way doesn’t take into account omitted questions.
Regardless, thanks a million!

If palm12341’s new method is correct, then I got a 233.
77 CR (-2)
76 M (-1)
80 W (-0)
Thanks to @palm12341 and @XCJunior2016 for their help!

what is the old way? @palm12341

I got a 209 in Alabama, I just have to pray it stays 209 or below(was a 207 last year).

Can anyone who has gotten their access code or actual score from a counselor use @palm12341 method to find out how many they got wrong and CONFIRM or DENY that .25’s round UP (i.e. 43.25 --> 44).

This would REALLY contribute, since so many people are wondering. This would raise my score by 2 points o.O

btw @palm12341, you’re a based god

According to palm’s method, I got a 213 (I omitted one, included that as well). Texas hasn’t ever been that low :((

Thanks @GranTurismo330

@palm12341 I calculated everything. In the column that says “points”, do I deduct from each section’s score that number? I don’t get it.

@GranTurismo330 It definitely does NOT round up. You can check the official collegeboard PSAT practice test it explicitly states that .5 or higher is a round up and anything lower is a round down.

@zendoodle
Use the equation 48-(1.25[number incorrect])-[number omitted] to get your critical reading raw score.
Use the equation 38-(1.25[number of MC questions incorrect])-[number omitted]-[number of bubble in questions incorrect] to get your math raw score.
Use the equation 39-(1.25*[number incorrect])-[number omitted] to get your writing raw score.
Then, on page 5 of the PDF, look at the score that corresponds to the raw score value in the “points” column of the table

@Easysafe @magic125 @didierdrogba @cityonanocean You’re welcome :)

So to recap what I have said in simpler terms, the best way I figured out to get the 2014 PSAT scores without an access code is as follows:
NOTE: Might not work if you don’t have a collegequickstart account with 2013 scores in it.

Go to <a href=“Student Score Reports”>Student Score Reports; and sign in.

Go to <a href=“Student Score Reports”>Student Score Reports; This page will show you the first question and will say at the top if you got it right or wrong.
Change the ‘1’ at the end of the URL to ‘2’ and repeat, until you have gone through all the CR questions. Count how many you got wrong and omitted. There are 48 total.

Repeat steps 2-3 but with <a href=“Student Score Reports”>Student Score Reports; for math and <a href=“Student Score Reports”>Student Score Reports; for writing. There are 38 math questions and 39 writing ones.

Use the equation 48-(1.25*[number incorrect])-[number omitted] to get your critical reading raw score. Round up from .5.

Use the equation 38-(1.25*[number of MC questions incorrect])-[number omitted]-[number of bubble in questions incorrect] to get your math raw score. Round up from .5.

Use the equation 39-(1.25*[number incorrect])-[number omitted] to get your writing raw score. Round up from .5.

Use the table on page 5 of https://web.archive.org/web/20141204164848/https://www.collegeboard.org/pdf/psat/understanding-psat-nmsqt-scores-guide_0.pdf to convert your raw scores into actual scores.

I hope these instructions were easy enough to understand. I’ll try and answer any question you might have.

PS: The reporter’s questions were impromptu…D’oh!

Assuming palm’s method is correct, I got:
WR 80 (-0)
M 80 (-0)
CR 77 (-2, darn vocabulary…)

for a 237. Hopefully palm’s method is accurate ^_^

Thanks for the method palm! :D

@Latios You’re welcome. Great job!

AHHH if this is right,
CR -3 (74)
M -0 (80)
W -0 (80)

asdfjlksdfjsdfj
234 ~_______~

thank you so much for this method & sparing me the anxiety wondering!!!

omg thanks @palm12341

Assuming it is right, I did TERRIBLY. Actually WORSE than last year even after studying.

R: 54
M: 78
W: 71

203

I got 206 last year and recently got 2220 on sat practice test. What is going on?
Did I at least get commended?

By the way, the form S triangle question was both 1 and 3 were true. I got the scatter plot wrong by miscounting.
