decisions could still come today. people said that wash u decisions would come out at 5 a few weeks ago, and it ended up coming out around 630, so we still have time!

think what you want. i’m not trolling. rep’s name was Su, they were on the phone yesterday.

Ya admission must be annoyed… But seriously they have 30,000 high school seniors waiting to hear about our futures! Of course we are getting nervous! It’s their own fault for not releasing an exact date.

checking my email on a 5-minute basis… this is lame:(

I agree, this is lame. I really hate that some schools refuse to give a fixed decision date

So true. Smith told us a long time ago- March 23rd. Thank God for that. That’s the considerate thing to do. Set a damn date.

@Dantheman

I believe you. Actually, I really WANT to believe you because I don’t wanna wait for another week…

The ivies tell you march 29th from the beginning, MIT always does pi day, but schools like northwestern, WashU, BU, CMU, and countless others don’t give you a fixed date, and if they do it tends to be a fake date that is weeks after they plan on releasing the decisions. It makes me like those schools alot less and I’m sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

All schools have different admissions departments; some schools might just not be equipped to set a fixed date early on. Think about it from the school’s perspective first - difficult, because none of us students have ever been admissions employees before …

^^ But, why do they do that? Why can’t they specify a date? Why be coy?

I think that any school the size of Northwestern could certainly handle setting a fixed date. It seems ridiculous to me for the students to be wondering and guessing on a notification date. Good luck to all of you!

On the bright side of the decisions not coming out yet, we all still have hope <3 haha…

I think it’s less of them being “coy” and more of their admissions department simply being structured differently than those of the Ivies. Or perhaps they’re currently dealing with some last minute complications - it doesn’t really matter to me, although I am a bit disappointed.

Currently agonizing over this …

Even if they set the day very late(like March 29th), it’s better than letting the applicants guess and get all nervous over a fake notification day. That’s irresponsible.

You are asking Northwestern to do something that they have already done. The decisions will be out by April 1st and it is not their fault that this blog exists and that predictions are made regarding when the decisions will be released. Don’t get me wrong, I am just as anxious as you all are, but I can’t rely on a date that people in this thread came up with without its recognition from Northwestern admissions.

Decisions come out tomorrow (dont know what time) according to our guidance counselor who called them

@sureblah- Irresponsible to not set a day. They know how important and stressful this is for the applicants and still, unwilling to set a day(even a late one).

@ahcollege- they said BY April 1st, not ON April 1st.

ok people this is probably the biggest comedy act I have seen. You are getting angry at people for following trends and that they were not right. Its a guessing game, it may not happen tomorrow either. Calm down and do something else until it does. This decision is not life and death so calm down and do not get angry for other posters.

Storm the Castle!
