1540 SAT, 800math2c, 790 chem, 770 ushist, 750 writing
3.9 gpa unweighted, 4.7 unweighted, my school doesn’t rank
Siemens Westinghouse Western Regional Finalist
MUN founder and secretary general
i was on Troy’s Science Olympiad team, silver in Health Science at nationals
200+ hours at local hospital
great recs and my interviews were really smooth.

from his other stats I would like to believe that its 1540/1600 because frankly it’s kind of hard to get in teh 1500s out of 2400. You would really have to mess up to get that score.
Judging from his other stats, it seems unlikely that he got a 1540/2400

Also, the most KEY point that tells me that you probably misunderstood him is that he goes to Troy. AND he is on their SO team. I am quite familiar with the Troy SO members and they are ALL incredibly brillant. Not just smart, brillant.

I am really not trying to put you know kunnel_25, please don’t misunderstand my intentions. I see that you are only a soph, so you have plenty of time to get 2300+ AND start applying for internships/research–all in all building up a strong strong application.
My best suggestion for you is to study for the SAT this summer. Really cram and take it in Oct. Then contact local college professors/hospitals for research opportunities.

I am more than happy to help if you have questions concering how to start the whole research process :)

to answer westcoastlove’s question about applying, Rice has eliminated Interim decision and has only ED or RD. If you want to apply ED, apply by nov 1, or by Dec 1 for RD…and if u apply ED u have to go to Rice even if you don’t get into Baylor Med…so that might suck…

hello
i got 2080 on the SAT1 and 800 in chem math and phy
is that good enough for RICE?
i know that the SAT1 is low but is it ok?
is that good enough for the interview?
also do they still use your stats to decide after the interview?
or just base of the interview?
thanks
