Official SAT I Answer Thread - 12/4 - U.S. Version

what was the last verbal section about?

mine was about robots and how they can’t effectly emulate humans because of artsy things like poetry. the other writer didn’t think that this was important and expected robots to take over. yea- it was ■■■■■■■■.

robots and two opinions about it. one was about their limit, and the next was criticizing this guy who thought robots can do anything

Can you guys put all the answers to the Critical reading? and about the beam of light one was there a choice about perception?

are u guys sure the train questions answer was 1200? I got 1000. The train is 200m and the train needs to move 2 lengths in and out of the tunnel. so tack on 400+ D = RT? They did ask for the length of just the tunnel right…

O god i f’ed up. There goes my 700.

why do you say that you wont get a 700 anymore?

For the AI questions…I think I put one was a skeptic, the other was enthusiastic. He was using secondary sources…he was using statistics from places that seem to be unknown, he didn’t just pull those out of his ass…and I put he wasn’t using literacy as one of his examples…if i remember correctly. Demography wasn’t what he wasn’t writing about, he talked about how it was easier for some slaves in different regions.

because I’m omitted 4 and I’m sure i missed at least 2 more

does anyone remember the values provided in the train question exactly?

yep, the train was moving 20 m/s, it was 200 m long, it took the front of the train entered the tunnel (this is where you start your measurements) then to the time that it takes the back of the train to exit the tunnel (not the front). it took one minute, ten seconds for this to happen.

1 minute 10 seconds from front of train entering to back exiting tunnel. Train was traveling 20 m/s. Length of train was 200 meters.

1 minute + 10 seconds = 70 seconds
70 seconds X 20 m/s = 1400 meters
1400 meters - 200 meters (length of train) = 1200 meters (answer)

I’m probably wrong but didn’t the question say that it takes 70 seconds for the end of the train to touch the end of the tunnel? meaning that it adds another 200 to the total distance thus 400+D=RT?

it’s 1200. final answer. period. i’m positive I’m right, it’s a simple physics question.

it’s 1200 .

20 was bigger PQR
+RQP
XYX
so since the P+R didn’t change in the hundred digits 2Q=Y<10 also since it said one letter represents one digit P+R<10
therfore P+R+2Q<20

was the question about which 3 sides could be the sides of a triangle experimental? and the lines and circle question as well??

demographic

Demography \Demog"raphy, n. [Gr. ? the people + -graphy.] The study of races, as to births, marriages, mortality, health, etc. – Dem`o*graph"ic, a.

Source: Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.

demographic

adj : of or relating to demography; “demographic surveys” n : a statistic characterizing human populations (or segments of human populations broken down by age or sex or income etc.)

Goddang it better damn well be demography because it sure made sense at the time. He was just analyzing a bunch of statistics!

i put demographic, although there was another answer that seemed somewhat right…im still glad i put demographic tho…there were a LOT of answers in the CR that could go either way

I really think it was demographic. He wasn’t really citing historical sources. He would just come out and say “and did you know that in 18blahblah the whoohas were really blahblah?” so I think he was just analyzing data.

man, those stupid CR questions were completely opionated, it could go either way, i think the curve will be generous…secondary sources…and demography…ack, demography could be used as a secondary source…that’s why it makes no sense whatsoever, there were too many questions like that…i think the test was just plain crap, i’m taking it again in January.

Which Math section was experiment…One with three sides of a triangle and 7 in Circle lines question?
