SC did come through with enough grant money to get my son there this fall. So grateful and excited for him…

@julieannie - that’s SO great! :D

Congrats!! :)

I got the “June 1st” status update. I guess I should be thankful, haha. I’ll keep everyone posted if I get anymore!

Need to bump this to the top. Any news on appeals? I am SO done with high school. six more weeks left. After being at USC and sitting in a class, I really did not want to return to high school. Anyone else feeling senioritis?

I’m writing a 2 week late essay right now, whilst surfing FB and CC. So yes, I am definitely feeling senioritis.

I forgot about senioritis. I’ve been completely wrapped up in my school’s musical, Grease (I’m stage manager!), and haven’t cared about anything else. It’s a nice way to take my mind off of appeal stuff. :D

Any appeal or transfer updates?

no new updates here. im still sitting at the most recent status update letting me know they’ve done a preliminary review

wg and dojo - we’ll all probably hear around the same time… crazy.

Everyone is accepted to their first choice unless otherwise noted.

thanks for updating, dance. :)

transfers - any updates/status changes/spring grade requests? Hopefully no SGRs. :)

i just got a status change today! i’m now at “Your application has been forwarded for committee review.”

Congrats, swat. Still no updates for me.

I’m starting to get really worried. My status still hasn’t changed from “We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.”

Does that mean anything? I applied for Production (1st choice) and CS (2nd choice).

THANKS!

@madeforusc

i dont think its anything to worry about, i think were going to see a new batch of status changes this week. 2009’s thread had a few of changes along with acceptances this time last year.

now that USC’s finishing up graduation i’m guessing theyre going to start focusing on gettin through all the transfer apps. were entering the final 2 weeks guys! i’m hoping for good news for all of us!

@madeforusc

I’m a student at USC hoping to transfer from Letters of Arts and Sciences (LAS) into SCA (applied for Production as well), so I went to the admissions department to get some info on how my application was doing. The woman behind the desk said that most acceptances AND rejections this year will be sent out towards the beginning of June. The reason being is that the admissions department is 1 of 2 offices still located in the old SCA building. After graduation, they will be spending a few weeks moving/setting up everything in the new Cinematic Arts building. So no need to worry, the wait will soon be over…just a bit later than we would have liked.

ah the waiting game. thanks for the info fighton4life!

My pleasure :)
