I don’t think that website changes in relevance to acceptances or rejections. Yes I think people who get rejected are notified by email as well, but at a later time than acceptances. Acceptances go out in waves, and then the rejections out after that. (At least in past years I believe)

Hmmmm so anyone can evaluate my stats…? What do you think about my stats? I also applied to grinnell, notre dame, and wellesley

You’re looking a little shakey to me Marianna, especially for CAS. The intensity of your course load and work schedule might help you out though, I think, if it was significant enough.

Yeah as tbctct says, I also think it depends on your courseload/work~the only person with income will, I think, show a heavy workload. The B- on the major course is the only thing that sticks out negatively to me.

Been a while since I replied here, but I just got an email saying my application is complete and has been sent to CAS for review. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I feel like anyone who’s applying to Cornell, especially for spring transfer, has to accept that the odds are against the applicants. Rather than getting caught up on whether we actually become Cornellians [which I pray for everyday], we should celebrate and be grateful for the fact we’ve all worked so hard and have come so far!

Marianna:
I can tell you’ll do well wherever you may end up- whether that’s Cornell, Grinnell, Notre Dame, or Wellesley! It’s not my place to provide judgement on your statistics, but I sure do wish the best for you!

I definitely agree with emalo54321! At least we don’t have to worry about guaranteed transfers (GT) because they’re only considered for the Fall semesters. I hope that took a load off of everyone and I hope that my statement is accurate.

Will my application be sent to review, even though I have yet to submit my Midterm Report? My professors are taking forever to sign the paper.

Chris:

There’s a general consensus on CC that you can still send the mid-term report after the deadline for Cornell! I would try my best to get it in as soon as possible though!

Thanks, emalo54321! Cornell has known for weeks now.

@Chris I’ve heard they can review without the mid-term, they just can’t make the decision without it.

Yes, Nostalgia14! You’re correct. I’ve heard this too, but I’m unsure of where I’ve heard it from.

Everyone, if (when) admitted, where do you want to live? I haven’t decided yet, but I will definitely make a quick decision if time permits me to.

^Yeah that will definitely be something everyone who gets in can talk about in the future. I’d definitely say west campus with other transfers. I just don’t know where inside west campus.

Nostalgia14, is there any way that you can validate my comment on guaranteed transfers only being considered for Fall semesters?

Chris, I looked around and I can’t find anything on the topic referring to no GT’s in the spring. At the same time I don’t see anyone applying as a GT for spring either. Can’t validate it )=

It’s fine, Nostalgia14. Thanks for all your hard word!

Yes there are GT transfer for Fall term. I believe they call them deferred transfer offers. I know this because I’ve accepted an offer for Spring 2014 for the SHA. The program is extremely competitive to get into. Aside from having phenomenal hospitality experience mainly Michelin fine dinning establishments, I’ve taken business courses at Wharton, and NYU in summer sessions. On top of being apart of the CIA/SHA collaborative degree program.

My best advice stay on top of the paperwork; cross all your (T)'s and dot your (i)'s.

With that said as much as i’m ultra excited its a bit upsetting to have this GT deferred and not have my welcome pack/ financial outlook/ housing paperwork/ health history forms expedited weeks before having to make plans to relocate.

I was unable to responded to your message due to my lack of message on this college board.

Firstly what did you express in your essays you wanted to get out of the program?
My experience, personal/professional references gave me the competitive advantage.
Best of luck. Are you waiting for a response for your Spring 2014 enrollment.

Thanks, MSSB555! I am fully aware that guaranteed transfers are offered admission for Fall terms. However, I wanted to know if a guaranteed transfer can matriculate to Cornell in any Spring term of any given school year (as in receiving admission only for Spring and not Fall).
