Wow! I hope to soon receive an email similar to yours, only in the Human Ecology version of course! Transfersg, are you currently a second semester freshman? Why didn’t you apply for Fall 2014 admission?

AKawasaki:

Thank you! That really means a lot!! I’m hoping we both get accepted!!! I’m applying as a junior. I’ll have the maximum 60 [potentially] transferable credits and an AA! The interview went incredible, and I just remember the stories and experiences he told me about (He’s persuaded me try out for the sprint football team haha). I’m praying Cornell accepts me! I’m from Florida! What about you?

No, I’ll be coming in as a second semester sophomore in biometry and statistics. Taking the semester off didn’t affect my admission because I had about 52 credits just from APs I took in high school. And I missed the transfer deadlines/started questioning my current university too late haha. It’s a long story…

Okay. That makes perfect sense. Once again, congratulations transfersg! I hear that Cornell has the best food out of all the Ivies!

Food, campus view and excellent education!!! ILR please let me know asap <3 I want mine too!!!

Congrats to the successful transfers. I am a hopeful transfer for the FALL semester and I have already started my essays The common app is very weird, by the way… grr

I think checking my email is now my most favorite thing to do. haha

Nostalgia: My phone’s battery dies twice as fast these days from me checking my email constantly! haha

I spoke to an SHA representative today. For the most part, SHA applicants will be notified after Thanksgiving.

i totally agree with you guys.

emalo: did SHA say that all the applicants will be notified after thanksgiving? and why so? that is a very frustrating news.

AKawasaki:

The representative said that I shouldn’t expect anything until after Thanksgiving. While looking at the 2013’s transfers, SHA seemed to give their decisions later in the semester.

I took the average of those statistics from the date of the deadline to the decisions and it came out to be 73.5 days [pretty much two months and 14 days]. I’m anticipating we find out anywhere from beginning to mid December.

^Oh man I hope ILR doesn’t come out that late

Nostalgia: I’m almost positive ILR is sooner!

Thanks for the updates emalo~

Anybody else an AEM major? Any idea when CALS will release decisions? For some reason, I can’t log into Cornell Self Service.

Hi, anyone got accepted to CAS?

Heres my stat…):

Gpa 3.71 / major gpa 3.8

Ec: not very much.
5 years of voluntary math tutor, working full time (im the only one who is employed in my family)

Uhh, and
zero income family.
Asian. First generation immigrant.

Well this is all.
Please give me some opinions): also, those who tried to log on housing, does it say something like time out/session is over? Mine does.

I’m also interested in anyone who’s been accepted to CAS.

Hey Marianna, question. Were you working full time while taking a full course load? Or did you stop working/take a lighter course load to accommodate your job?

I worked a full time job, and so took a lighter course load from the school I hope to transfer from. I’m wondering how bad that will look to CAS admissions.

Can you guys log into the Cornell Self Service site? I have tried repeatedly, but cannot get in. Does this mean I have been rejected?

^Self service? The one where you check your application status as in not acceptance/rejection, but if they have received your application in general? I think everyone should be able to log into that if we are talking about the same thing.

[Live on Campus](<a href=“Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University) if you click on “log in here without net id” leads you to housing login. Housing is iffy on the login for people and people shouldn’t worry about logging into this one with regards to acceptances and rejections.

The login for both look extremely similar. If it is the self service you can’t get onto call them. Thats the one where you look for “Your materials have been received and have been forwarded to the admissions staff for review” or something to that effect.

Yeah, I was referring to the first one. I guess I will call them then. I was able to log into it just fine until yesterday. That’s why I thought maybe I had been rejected. Will people who have been rejected be notified through email as well?
